Dubbed "sack tapping" by some students, the practice is now featured in dozens of homemade videos on YouTube.

"We're gonna see who our first victim is," says a student in one video before punching an unsuspecting male student in the groin as he walked down a school hallway.

It is painful to watch and Dr. Wheeler says increasingly common. "All parents, you need to have this talk with your kids not to do it. It's lost its humor. It's not a game anymore. People get hurt."

Posting this in the hope it will filter its way through to kids (your children, school friends, brothers, etc) who appear unaware of the repercussions of what the article describes as this 'new trend' of 'sack tapping'

I've never understood the glee with which movies and tv portray these assaults on males

For example, was watching a BBC-comedy DVD the other night, in which an elderly female at an aged-care home regularly assaulted males via knee to the groin. As she walked away cackling, the victim was shown rolling on the ground in agony. It happened several times within an hour or so's viewing, and was clearly intended to be 'funny'

Monkey see -- monkey do, and portraying such violence against males as 'funny' needs to stop, as does this idiotic new trend --- sack tapping -- on Youtube and elsewhere

Only when people appreciate the pain, agony, permanent injury --- and hopefully successful lawsuits -- which result, might the trend finally be consigned to the same Locker of Shame as offences against females

I completely support "sack tapping" as an avenue of natural selection. If you're dumb enough to kick each other in the coin purse, the gene pool is better off without you and your buddies.

Yeah i've seen quite a few videos on youtube of people intentionally letting themselves get hit in the testicles. Those people, go right ahead, I support what you're doing. You're weeding yourself out of the gene pool, as you should be. Now to those who hit others who are unsuspecting or unreceptive of this attention, those people need to be drug out into the street and shot. One should never play with the family jewels like that, they're to be respected and protected. Buncha mental midgets doing this kind of stuff. /facepalm

So this is done to unsuspecting boys. That is assault.

In cases like this, it's a shame they don't still follow the 'eye for an eye' rule.

How is this funny? I know; just look at the sadistic and masochist culture developed over the past 20 years. All glorified via such gems as 'Jackass.'

It makes me want to wear a cup everytime I walk in public. There was a woman who kicked men in the testicles in the street, not sure where, maybe in Vancouver. Not sure if she was ever caught. Makes me ache and cringe just thinking about it.

And to think it all started with the very GROWN men of "Jackass".

The thing is most of these boys are old enough to know better, its just all about getting that next laugh or inch of attention that it gains from the videos.
It will die off over time.

Part of me just says let them kill off the next generation of morons one sac at a time.

Also one of the biggest avenues this is shown is on web soup&attack of the show.

I think they gave one guy an award for it or something which then caused a bunch of others wanting to do the same and take the title ...

This is assault, plain and simple.

It is the equivalent of punching girls in the boobs - and let me tell you if that started happening there would be a huge outcry.

There should also be a huge outcry over this.

And I have a message to bullies - you may have your stupid and ignorant laughs now, but you will get payback, make no mistake about that.

If anyone ever "sack tapped" me or flat out punched me in the berries it would become my personal goal (once I recovered) to later find that person and proceed to bash the bastard within an inch of his life.

Poor dudes getting this done to them.. I hope they find the courage to teach these ass-clowns a lesson once they recover

wow kids today, if someone would have sack tapped an unsuspecting kid when i grew up, that kid would get his ass handed to him, either by the victim or one of his larger friends.

It's a super funny flick about the future of planet earth by Mike Judge (Office Space, King of the Hill, Beavis and Butthead, etc). The reality series in the film, "Oww! My Balls!" sounds like it may be the the successor to this homo-erotic-S&M practice of sack-tapping.

Ugh, it isn't funny and hurts just thinking about, and if just having the very thought of it in your head can make you actually sore, than that says something. Kids get stupider and stupider, and this generation is the worst, the kind who don't know the meaning of respect and were never properly punished because it's not politically correct anymore. It's also the fault of incompetent parents who tell their children to sit in a corner. You learn nothing from staring at wall...
RUPTURE? In a sense that's like removing your arm, because honestly it's quite important. Not only can it create MORE of us, something we need, but there's other reasons, and I know I wouldn't be the same if mine were to be removed over some random act of mindlessness.
We need physical discipline implemented once again. No, not beating them to a pulp, but spanking which is quite effective. Kids won't talk back to parents, to teachers, to anyone. Wouldn't we be a lot better without these incompetent parents who cry over every little thing and can't teach their children to be human, and the children who follow who haven't learned a thing? And come on, if guys are doing this to other guys, they should know the pain. Again, it's not funny, and it's honestly sickening.

i am glad my school days were over ages ago, i dont know what these kids are thinking. it makes me wonder what is causing these kids to do this? is it something in their food? its not normal for people to just let others punch them in the balls. we need to get to the bottom of this, are these just some sadistic kids that get off on pain, or is it something more sinister being done to them?
