An official and unusual CIA document concerning foreign reports about UFOs.
Dozens of UFOs sighting reports coming from Central Intelligence Agency special correspondents during July- October 1952, above North Africa and Spain.
Some of the more interesting sights have involved six thousand people in an arena during a boxing match in Casablanca, former military pilots in an airfield and a sight of an Enormous Disk.

This is interesting from a UFO history perspective, certainly. However, I don't see what it adds to our understanding of the phenomenon.

All these released documents really proove nothing, actually all they proove is that the government really does not know anything about them. They are all the same they are just wittness accounts of UFO incidents that were recorded by groups like CIA or FBI.

I disagree, they prove the government was interested in them even back in '52. Ya, didn't know anything about them back then...but now its an entirely different story because we have the technology to gather far more data then we ever could back then.

If there is nothing to hide then why not show us the classified files that are a little more current? If they are all just eye witness accounts then there should be no problem , however this is not the case.

Back in 52' i did not know anything about them because i was not alive... So what great improvements in technology do we have now that could help ID these things via witness accounts?

They will and in 20-30 years people will be having the same discussion. That is if the gov has any inteerest in the subject anymore.

The government's interest in UFOs is understandable. It was a time of great paranoia, when we believed we were in an existential fight for our existence, when the next world war seemed just days away. The CIA would have been less worried about this...

Well, first off, I have no idea what these "things" are.(probably man made).

But advancements in technology are far to many to list, radar, stealth, electronics, cameras, home video's.

All of these technologies help make a story -- not a story. Makes it more than just an eyewitness account.

Ok, first you have to acknowledge that there is actually something in the sky before we can go any further."What" it is is irrelevant. If you can't get around that then we don't have much to say.

Moving on though, acknowledging that there is something in the sky....

We need to come up with ways to measure it. By this i mean visually, electromagnetically, sounds, touch, taste, ect......To know for sure "what" is up there. 50 years ago, as you said, were not alive, other people were. And they had far more primitive technology than we have today.

Using the new technology we have now h thinks faster, sees farther will make it easier in eliminating all the variables as to "what" is up there.

If you are asking what specific device to use to detect a UFO........

Radar is a little better than it was back then but it is still radar and does the same thing. Stealth in no way can help ID anything in the sky. Cameras were areound back then and if you look at pictures from the 40s you can see that the film quality was great. Electronics is kind of a broad term but we had them back then. Home videos have been around for a while now but have not really helped ID what they are only that they exist.
So all these advancements have only helped document that it is a phenomena that happens but have not at all helped in IDing what they are.

Stealth detection is designed around our stealth technology and only would help the case that they are man made vehicles. But from UFO witness accounts these things are everything but stealth. Bright lights and erratic movements in the open sky.

Color TV has done nothing to aid the identification of UFOs, we have color and black and white photos and videos, so far nothing has been prooven one way or another on the subject.

But from UFO witness accounts these things are everything but stealth.

So eye witness accounts are enough for you to believe they are every thing but stealth as you say...thats a bold statement.
