Ok, I think Romania (among others) is becoming more and more tornado-prone.
I just got this news.

Aparentely, a tornado hit a village at around 6pm, in the mountains of NE Transilvania, a village named Silivasul de Campie, from Bistrita county.

It destroyed some trees, a few houses and left the village without power after it broke some eletricity pylons. Then it went out at a bottom of a hill.
Lots of chickens shelters were swept away.

Tornados in Romania - haven't seen much tornados here in Europe before!

I know that there are some very small ones from time to time in special weather conditions, but they usually dies out before they can make some serious destruction.

But very interesting nevertheless!

Maybe our weather system is changing and we'll see more of them in the future?

Do you often get them in Romania?

The first tornado was in 1886 in Bucharest.
The there was this one in 2001 that did some damage to a house.

Then, it came the strongest one ever in Romania, Ialomita in 2002 with 3 dead, 30 injured, 33 completely destroyed houses and 440 damaged properties.

After that, lots of tornadoes began to appear near the coast of the Black Sea and on sea but I think this is kind of normal.
I did some digging and found out that we had over 60 since then but I couldn`t find all of the reports.
