It's funny how something so old resonates still today.
Human nature doesn't change.
I saw this video before, but it has not lost it's impact, and the meaning behind it.
It's apt.
The banks own us, it's obvious, especially now.

Basically this video illustrates how we have been swindled by salesmen.

But what isn't shown, and what illustrates the datedness of the video is cheap foreign competition,ie China, which was a foreign concept back then.

All it takes is an illness to hit a "wealthy" person and they'll have a 19yo nursing assistant wiping the poo off their butt and using a lift to get them into the bath. If you think you're strong now, unfortunately you won't always be. And when it comes time to get what you need you'll demand and expect it, but yet meeting other peoples' needs are optional. Only slightly hypocritical or if not that, then myopic.

Slightly distasteful to feel the need to attack a single person in such a way when indeed there are bigger fish to fry. Of course, "government waste" is only such when it goes to people that actually need it.
