Well you live there and know your the surrounding area better than anyone. So when you see something new or out of place I'm sure your radar goes off.

I'm envious of you, as you have a magnificently awesome back yard!

The photo is beautiful by the way.

If you used a digital camera (I suppose you did) and didn't resized the photo in the memory card you can try to recover it with an "undelete" program like Recuva.

I second that. Recuva is the best thing since sliced bread. It has saved my butt in the past!!

Yep. I'm going to Italy this year, hope to tempt some people to take a ride down to Etna... My question is, where was the sun in relation to the volcano? I had to squint to see the "triangle" shape so here's a darkened version.

As for what's in the photo, who knows...but it doesn't matter. As the person above (or two or three above if more have replied) said - just envious you're near such a place!

Well, others have offered reasonable debunking ideas, I will offer an opinion from far out left field: the pyramid is actually a triangle spacecraft of the Shadows and while invisible to the naked eye, your digital camera saw through its shielding. The triangle craft that looks like a pyramid is sitting over the volcano converting heat into energy for the craft. The black dot is a probe from the triangle craft....

Okay, that does it for me

Thank you for the explination.
Yes I use a digital camera.
I also have a horriblehabbit of once I upload the pictures to my computer I delete everything on the memory card.
I've learned a valuable lesson in NEVER doing that again until I check all photos.
If you think the program (link) you sent can still 'recover' it? I'll try it.
Will give a look at the program anyway - Thanks again

You asked when She started Erupting - Mt. Etna.
Since the beginning of time on earth I'm sure, but, I have a feeling you're narrowing it down to this century? *wink*

Here's a thread on the last time She did anything a bit exciting.Mt. Etna Blows!

Back to your question - Etna's been in an on-going erupting state for a long time now. I've lived here well over ten years and there's never been a time when She hasn't been doing something to some degree. I've never seen her completely quiet.
Thanks!

peace

Edit: Forgot to add link, lol...

UFOs and volcanoes are almost synonymous with one another for some unknown reason.

Yes! That's why my heart started beating right out of my chest when I saw what was on the pic!

Strange though 'cause I look around a lot before I take a picture and there was NOTHING (I could see) there at the time - and, I'm close enough I would have heard the helicopter - especially when focusing on a pic and that triangle. The Caribinieri fly over and around Etna all the time - I hear 'em every time...

As for having 'Her' in my backyard?
Naw, She has me in hers! *wink*

Check out the other Etna link I've got here if you'd like to see more.

Mt. Etna Blows!

Peace

Hi! I haven't seen a post from you in a while. Nice to see you .

Well, I read and re-read your addition to this thread (thank you) and all I can think is - WOW COULD I EVER GET THAT LUCKY!

I'd LOVE to have all that happen right here where I could watch!

Thanks for your input!

Coming down here? Oh let me know! I can plug you in to the best restaurant in town!

As to your question? The sun was going down behind Etna and to the right of the photo - so - sure, it's a reflection...

Or is it... *wiggles eyebrows*...

But I have to admit after seeing well over 3k Etna sunsets (a lot more but taking our rain and cloud days) I've never seen anything like this one, so, yeah, my radar went off big time...

Thanks - keep in touch.
