Pop Star Britney Spears wants to be frozen after her death so that she could be brought back to life when technology is advanced enough to work it out.

The singer wants her body to be preserved in liquid nitrogen at cryogenic temperature (below -150 C) so that future generations can see her dancing routines if she is revived back to life, reports thesun.co.uk. The 28-year-old has already started investing in a foundation specializing in cryogenic freezing.

'Britney gets these obsessions and this is the latest. It started when someone told her Walt Disney had been preserved by cryogenics to be revived in the future. That was a myth, but it got her researching the foundation and she became convinced it was worth a shot,' said one of her friends.

'Britney found the whole thing so interesting that she spent most of her Mother's Day trip to Disneyland researching the subject on the internet,' he added.

I know this story is referring to a Pop Star and the 2nd source is not a favorite on ATS, however the article is scientific in respect to the subject matter of cryogenics.

I always wondered about this service and how things will be handled years from now. What happens years down the road when anyone who would have remembered you is dead, and all the money used to keep you frozen runs out? What do they do with the body?

I watched a documentary on this once and from what I remember biologists stated that when the body is frozen it destroys the cells due to the ice shards that pierce them. I don't know if using Liquid Nitrogen inhibits this effect or not. I truly don't think we are anywhere near achieving the ability to reanimate a person utilizing the cryogenic storage method any time soon.

And yet more proof that there's a sucker born every minute. This has got to be one of the greatest scams ever invented. Pay us now, we'll resurrect you later with science that doesn't exist yet. I just hope they find a way to bring back the body and not the head...and considering some of her previous decisions, she may actually OPT for that, and it would be better for everyone.

No, I posted a screen shot of the two different but coincidental stories one claiming Illuminati and one saying she wants to be frozen.

I corrected the spelling like I said. So I take it because she's family you feel you have to defend her I gather. Guess what, I could care less about her or her life. However I thought it was interesting that she wanted to freeze herself. I didn't even know there was another B-R-I-T-N-E-Y Spears thread on the board until I saw the two together. If you want to call that jumping on the bandwagon then it's your right, flawed as the logic is.

As far as the "S&F grab" comment, I have more ATS points than I know what to do with, if I could give them to you I would. I assure you I am not here for popularity, I am secure in any social setting.

For your information, this is a thread about cryogenics. She heard about how Disney did this & now thinks it's a great idea. She has been told WHAT to think & not HOW to think.
I bet if I researched all Britney related threads, you'd be there on every one staunchly defending her.
