Could be those things, I think it might be for their own good. Something their P.R. (public relations) recommended, no doubt...

They most likely don't want us to think they are hiding anything. You can bet something is behind it. Not a pleasant site!

Alot more than 5,000 barrels thats for sure. They don't want outside scientists to help because they are afraid of what they will find out. And that is they really don't have a plan that will work at this depth except maybe for the relief well which should come into being by August. The govt. and BP have to show that they are trying to stop it even though all the techniques and procedures haven't been done before at this depth.

I was wondering how easy it would be for them to put the whole thing on a loop if it gets worse and we wouldn't know.

After looking again, it DOES seem as if its on a loop.

Maybe this should be in the conspiracy section ?

Last I heard when looking at the news this morning, BP admitted to approximately 95,000 barrels a day of oil and gas being spewed into the waters. That is twenty times above what Exxon Valdez was, and you can still find oil on the shores if you dig about a foot down or less. The area has definitely not healed itself. This is so horrible.

I suspect they have known the true amount all along, and were trying to keep that knowledge away from the public for as long as possible. If people knew right away, they would have been more upset, but this way, the "idea" get's in their head, and it does not feel "so bad" now.

Kind of like the story of the frog and the boiling water I think.

I'm not convinced this is a loop-- unless I just haven't been watching long enough.

Does anyone who thinks so have a duration to share?

One thing I find very odd are the organisms zooming past the camera at tremendous velocity! What the hell are those????

No idea.
I know some life can live near these things.
Might be fish zooming past the camera, hardt to tell how far away it really is.

Also, is that a man to the right ?
he isnt doing much...

I was unable to tell by looking at the actual cloud whether it was on a loop.

After examining the back and forground fauna, I have not found anything to indicate it's a loop.

I've been watching for a while now and it appears to be a continuous live feed.
This observation is based on the number of fish, etc swimming through the cameras field of vision and as yet, have seen no repetitious events.
