The pop-culture sensation, released in Japan 30 years ago this week, created millions of glazed-eye addicts and spawned more than 400 products, including a cartoon, a breakfast cereal and a hit song.

No, Pacman was too "new age" for me.

I never progressed beyond the action filled pong.

Now that makes you feel old.............

When I get off work today, I will be celebrating Pacman's B-day by playing a few rounds....I'm prepared to be frustrated, as I haven't played it in a long, long time.

Looks like Google is aknowledging it too. They have pacman as their logo today.
So simple, but still a fun game. My husband and I break it out now and then. Tomorrow is the official anniversary, I may play a game or two.

Excuse my ignorance but does pacman have the great graphics and sound that pong does?

If so I might give it a try.

I miss the sounds....pock..beep...beep...pock..

Oh, and the edge of you seat action as well...

Omg, you can actually play the game on the google title. I thought it was just a graphic, but it is a mini-pacman game. How fun!

I've got an original Atari VCS (2600), and copies of Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man and Jr. Pac-Man, among others.

I wasn't even born when the game came out, but I'm still an obsessed vintage video game junkie.
