How can the US fix the oil spill? Do we have it, can we do it?

This is an important test of our national resolve and noodle. Obama is supposed to be a very smart man and a super salesman.

How can this problem be fixed? Can you suggest some solutions?

The short version: Collect, Test, and replicate the best in large quantities, in a lab, the organisms that are eating the oil in the gulf now. Add those to the water with some large air pumps on barges pumping air into the ocean to oxygenate the water to provide the oxygen necessary.
