Hearing all of this talk about evacuation of large areas because of the oil spill has sent my 'feelers' up.

What reason is there to evacuate areas on land due to an oil spill on the Gulf of Mexico?

This is total BS. Is the oil some sort of new kind that comes out of the water and crawls uphill onto landmasses?

Please everyone take note.....

If land areas are evacuated "due to the oil spill", we are being LIED to big time and something else is up!

UPDATE 2 : Minn. National Guard deployment largest since WWII

Big for them I guess.. but it's actually only 2,700 troops. their mission is clear as day: Go to Iraq to protect convoys and base security while troops leave the country.

Can't find anything else regarding all Georgian units.

If we go to war with North Korea they better be prepared to face +21st century arms! During Korean War I their Russian made hardware was fairly evenly matched against US weaponry...

We'll see how well they like our new smart bombs/drones/F22s this time around!

If Bush was so damn worried about WMD's, North Korea should have been the first war waged against the "Axis of Evil."

The latest torpedo attack has erie similarity's to the Gulf of Tonkin event that started larger scale military operations in Vietnam!

if something is up why would you find something on a website saying, "war about to break out in north korea, all resevres being called up" you won't find any confirmation except from first hand sources. i was in the army before we invaded iraq and even the average joe knew we were invading iraq months before it happened.

cnn is hyping up taliban terror threat right now :p sick f*ckers...

I pray no more lives are lost for agendas based on oil supremacy. Disclosure is worth more than any life, I just wish those in true power could effect this.

..because after the war started, everyone would be like hey.. wtf.. how can you go to war and not tell us?

Iraq saw months and months of media hype, then a massive mobilization, and we all knew what was going to happen. We even had the cameras ready and rolling for the first bombs to drop.

And I doubt, or at least hope, we would put ground troops into North Korea... we would bomb the crap out of it, then follow SK in .. makes sense that SK liberates the North so the peasants see them as benevolent.

Heard about this on radio over the last couple days:

A federal indictment issued this month in San Antonio accuses a Somali citizen smuggling hundreds of people into the U.S, including some with ties to an Al-Shabaab linked terrorist group.

Experts believe they, like Ali, are coming through Mexico to Texas, along well established human smuggling routes.

www.khou.com...

This in light of the handful of KNOWN thwarted terrorist attempts on US soil over the last several weeks. Always the possibility of many others public not aware of.

Then figure in these two recent tidbits of info released:

America’s top intelligence official told lawmakers on Tuesday that Al Qaeda and its affiliates had made it a high priority to attempt a large-scale attack on American soil within the next six months.

www.nytimes.com...

I predict, based primarily on information that is floating in Europe and the Middle East, that an event is imminent and around the corner here in the United States. It could happen as soon as tomorrow, or it could happen in the next few months. Ninety days at the most.

mass transportation is the next attack

www.foxnews.com...

I dunno, oil encroachment, terrorist threat, Korean war, seems like we have a plethora of possible reasons for military deployment. Take your pick.

i just realized that with all these exercises its probably just a ruse for something big because this always happens and the next day BAM! something big goes down. perhaps the government heard that the SHTF soon and like usual leaves us all in the dark.

on CNN right now

I don't know if this is related but there was an effing TANK driving with a police escort on Rt 301 right outside of DC in Waldorf, MD! Took up 3 lanes! I tried searching twitter to see if anyone else was commenting on it but no luck. It could have also just been a transfer...

The tank would have been moved on a heavy duty low-boy trailer if it was being transferred, I think.

That is weird.

Zero is a traitor and on the side of the islamic terrorists, so I would guess it will be something on American soil between now and November so he has an excuse to postpone the election.

Hope everyone who voted for Mr "Not a clue who he is or where the hell he came from" is happy with the treasonous slime they helped put in the White House.

This might answer your question.

Florida Gulf oil spill: Plans to evacuate Tampa Bay area expected to be announced

The evacuations will be necessary for the elderly and those with respiratory problems along much of Florida’s coast, including the Tampa Bay area, if plans proceed to set the massive, approaching oil slick on fire, according to Oilprice.com.

Oh, and you cant leave this out:

A fact sheet on the demonstrated impacts to human health from exposure to crude oil has been provided by Dr. Michael Harbut, Karmanos Cancer Institute, and Dr. Kathleen Burns of Sciencecorps, outlining the dangerous health hazards posed by oil and oil fumes. www.sciencecorps.org... Significant health risks and impacts include:

 Visible effects such as skin damage, headaches, dizziness, nausea, confusion, coughing, respiratory difficulty, chemical pneumonitis, and other health problems.
 Serious effects without obvious immediate symptoms including liver and kidney disease, lung damage, immune system suppression, abnormal hormone levels, infertility, anemia, nerve damage, mutations, cancer, and other serious health problems.
 Serious risk to pregnant women, both to their own health and to the fetus’s, including abnormal growth and development, skeletal deformities and other birth defects.
 Extreme risk to children, especially newborns, who are very vulnerable to toxic chemicals in crude oil due to incompletely formed immune and detoxification systems. They may experience abnormal growth, neurocognitive damage, cancer and other health conditions.
 Those with preexisting medical conditions can see a worsening of those diseases due to even short-term exposure.

Whether health damage occurs depends on individual characteristics and exposure levels, but health experts agree that no exposure is free of heath risks. There is no “safe” level of exposure to carcinogens such as benzene; crude oil contains multiple carcinogens and mutagens.

Obama starts massive US Air-Sea-Marine build-up opposite Iran
DEBKAfile Exclusive Report May 20, 2010, 2:20 PM (GMT+02:00)Tags: US-Iran Aircraft carriers

USS Truman carrierdebkafile's military sources report a decision by the Obama administration to boost US military strength in the Mediterranean and Persian Gulf regions in the short term with an extra air and naval strike forces and 6,000 Marine and sea combatants. Carrier Strike Group 10, headed by the USS Harry S. Truman aircraft carrier, sails out of the US Navy base at Norfolk, Virginia Friday, May 21. On arrival, it will raise the number of US carriers off Iranian shores to two. Up until now, President Barack Obama kept just one aircraft carrier stationed off the coast of Iran, the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower in the Arabian Sea, in pursuit of his policy of diplomatic engagement with Tehran.
For the first time, too, the US force opposite Iran will be joined by a German warship, the frigate FGS Hessen, operating under American command.
It is also the first time that Obama, since taking office 14 months ago, is sending military reinforcements to the Persian Gulf. Our military sources have learned that the USS Truman is just the first element of the new buildup of US resources around Iran. It will take place over the next three months, reaching peak level in late July and early August. By then, the Pentagon plans to have at least 4 or 5 US aircraft carriers visible from Iranian shores.
The USS Truman's accompanying Strike Group includes Carrier Air Wing Three (Battle Axe) - which has 7 squadrons - 4 of F/A-18 Super Hornet and F/A-18 Hornet bomber jets, as well as spy planes and early warning E-2 Hawkeyes that can operate in all weather conditions; the Electronic Attack Squadron 130 for disrupting enemy radar systems; and Squadron 7 of helicopters for anti-submarine combat (In its big naval exercise last week, Iran exhibited the Velayat 89 long-range missile for striking US aircraft carriers and Israel warships from Iranian submarines.)
Another four US warships will be making their way to the region to join the USS Truman and its Strike Group. They are the guided-missile cruiser USS Normandy and guided missile destroyers USS Winston S. Churchill, USS Oscar Austin and USS Ross.

debkafile's military sources disclose that the 6,000 Marines and sailors aboard the Truman Strike Group come from four months of extensive and thorough training to prepare them for anticipated missions in the Persian Gulf and the Mediterranean.

Surely this is just something to do with the oil slick? They couldn't cover up torching it because you'd see it from space and every airplane for hundreds of miles. They're probably just moving to the area to help with all the efforts to stop more of the slick hitting land.
