Dealing with immigration in the United States will be no easy battle. However, the fact is the United States have had laizze faire immigration
policies for several decades.
Are the immigration laws weak because of a future NAU..maybe
In most government sectors change is represented in "slashing the budget'' and getting rid of the defecit. Immigration does not fall into that
category. You cannot simply slash human lives out of the country, whether illegal or not.
The little girl who told Mrs Obama that her mother was in fact an illegal is a perfect example that not all illegal immigrants are what they are being
portayed as. These people have become socially intwined into our society and into society's functions.
Bottom line. America should have secured there only real border threat instead of putting it on the back burner for 40 years and creating a "slippery
slope" effect in which you cannot simply go back up hill. You must now lie in the bed you made and make the best of it.
