I know people don't usually like talking about these things. It's for a little bit of personal research.

Has anyone here ever almost died... or died for a short amount of time. Car crash? Gunshot? Stabbed? Heart Attack? Drowning? Etc...

I'm not really interested in the 'tunnel and white light' stories... but feel free to share. (not to say those things are irrelevant)
I'm more concerned with the actual moment... and before the moment. Did you feel relief... pain... fear... etc?
Or if you never actually died... but thought you were. Did accept it? Where you angry? Etc.

I don't really expect to get many replies to this... since it is incredibly morbid....but I figured I'd give it a shot.

When I was in Alaska i got shot at 3 times...by the same guy actually. He said we were on his property when we clearly werent. About 50 ft away from the property line. We'd jsut be riding by on our bikes and he'd shoot at us with his 12 gauge. We had no proof the first 2 times...cept for the shells...but we got him the 3rd time when we got pictures. He should still be in jail.

I came close in 2000 when I ended up with heart failure. I was basically given two days to live. Of course no one told me that until the two days had passed and I was obviously improving.
I was conscious all the time, so no NDE's or anything like that.

12 years ago I was driving on I-40 at 7:00 am it was cold and rainy but ice wasn't forming on the road. I had been driving without my seatbelt on and about 2hr's into my trip my inner voice, guardian angel or whatever you want to call it told me to "put on my seatbelt". I did and 5 minutes later hit a patch of black ice and rolled my truck 3 times. I walked away without a scratch and knew without a doubt that my life was spared that day. Thank God I listened.

Almost two years ago I was ejected from a moving vehicle. Prior to my 'flight' I knew we were about to crash. It was the first time in six years, which happened to be when my Aunt died, that I wasn't restrained. I had some time to think before I blacked out, and I remember thinking, "I know that I'm going to die and it's ok, because I'm completely at peace with myself." It's an amazing feeling, really.

The other passenger wasn't harmed at all because he was buckled up! Wear those seatbelts! They can save your life! I know from personal experience, and my Aunt didn't live to gain that knowledge.

... I had to answer lol. They might not really be NDE, but I could have killed my self a few time. One time I almost had a car crash that could have been lethal (didn't crashed at all tho). After it happenned, I noticed a weird change of atmosphere. It's like suddenly, all the air around me in the car became noticibly cold. I also had a huge shiver that gave me goosebumps all over my body. It's like the Grim Reaper had took place on my backseat for a few seconds.

The other time, I don't remember much of it, because I fell asleep behind the wheel lol... (not funny, I know) But I remember that right after, when I woke up at the sound of my crar grinding on another one and took the control of my car back, I had a few images of memories of me and my current girlfriend flashing real quick through my head, but I didn't saw my whole life's movie as people sometime say.

Depends on what you mean by almost died.

When I went to Japan I had a lay over in Seoul, Korea. My refueling plane was underbooked and another going north was overbooked. The flight company switched the planes because the one I was on could fit more people.

Long story short, my original plane had a mechanical error and crashed into a mountain killing all 247 flyers. When I finally got to my hotel (a 23 hour trip) it was all over the television, but since my Japanese is worst at best, it wasn't till later that I had realized what had happened.

I got pulled in by the undertow once. I could say I was probably under water for almost 3 minutes because I started counting, lol. If it hadn't of released me, I swear I would of drowned.
