All the states bordering Arizona should make those with Arizona plates show their papers to cross their borders and pay for a visa for all those in the vehicle.

$5o for adults and $100. for children. The elderly must return home as they should not be allowed to travel interstate at any cost. They usually smell bad.

Or perhaps Colorado should shut off the water to Arizona. The people in Tuscon could grow peyote in their pools.

See how stupid this whole thing is?

Don't let your ideology get in the way of your common sense!!

wow, do you have the same compassion for crack dealers too? I mean, yea, they are breaking the law, but don't harass them!

It's called a law, look it up.

I just moved to Texas (around Dallas), and just today we had two illegal aliens apply for detail/porter jobs. (I work for a car dealership....duh) Un-freaking-believable,

Heard the manager call them "undocumented", I did a double take and said "you mean, illegal?" He said "Yes they apply all the time."

At least I work for a reputable company that doesn't waste their time with these criminals!

Props for the management doing the right thing.

Anyhow, people say "target the companies that hire illegals"....
Well, how do you do that? You first have to determine which companies are hiring illegals, and that means you have to determine WHO is illegal so you can see which company hired them... and how do you do that?

The only thing stupid was all those people who were supporting the boycotts. I believe you were one of the supporters bellowing such support. Now when things get serious, you wana get down more ludicrous actions.

This might be just what the US needs. Actual competition between states. The only problem in this specific competition the two states involved "California/Arizona" the former has nothing left to loose and everything to gain. Unless Political correctness is now a tangible asset.

Thinking about it now maybe California is actually pressuring Arizona so that people wont flood into California pushing it farther off the economic cliff making it a most cunning political move, While openly disagreeing with Arizona in secret they really just dont want their illegal defectors....... nah CA is just backwards the terminator cant think that deep.

I'm all for Arizona doing what they did. They had to protect their citizens. Protecting our borders from foreign invaders should be priority #1. National guard should be on the border right now. Something should have been done way before it got to this point.

I just think California did not fail Arizona. The government failed Arizona. We should not be fighting each other, we should be joining together to figure out a plan to fix the loophole that allowed this mess to happen to the country.

Which side of the debate are you addressing with this? Arizona passes a law that California (generally speaking) doesn't like, "ideologically", so they (generally speaking) begin announcing boycotts.

Hmmm???

I don't know why people are crying "racism" in regards to this issue when it's clearly a case of border safety and the feds dropping the ball.
I'm just outside of Phoenix and I can't go a damn day without someone running their mouth saying this is a race issue.
So, if LA wants to boycott, let 'em.
See if they can run their pretty city on 2/3 of the resources they currently have.
So go on then...I double dog dare you.

Yep, I'm boycotting Arizona. My very tanned GF from Lubbock and I just don't need the hassle of being stopped for our papers because she might me an Illegal Mexican. I love the golf courses in Scottsdale and Sedona. I'm sure they will be fine without my money. I've also planned to forgo any business/sales trips to Arizona. They can buy my products elsewhere. I don't need the money anyway.

I'm all for border protection but targeting Hispanics and making them a scapgoat for what should be solved along the border; not state wide.

Hey M8 I understand where you are coming from. Arizona at every turn has tried to lay off of escalating these boycotts. Now with more & more states joining in on the boycott wagon, Arizona has to stand up and set this loudmouth politickin fools straight.

Digital_Reality, Youngster,,,, As long as you have people in the United States of America that believes there in no need for boarders and laws.
People that believe most of America was stolen from them. People who have No Regard For Our Laws and Our Way Of Life, People who believe that we need to learn and speak their language because they Do Not Want To Learn English.
People who want their culture to be recognized and Sh@t on Our Culture.
When you understand that, then you'll understand that only standing and fighting that good fight will win the day. You need to be proud of the Fact, Americans Died For Our Liberties and Rights we enjoy, Don't try to take any of my Liberties or Right away from me. I fought in Viet-Nam and left buddies there and I left a lot of blood there too.
SH$T, Don't get me RANTING, To OLD!
These people need to understand we have our RIGHTS! Until they are Legal,,, They Have NONE!

S & F! Thanks for posting. I got quite a jolt from that article. Mr Pierce is my "Hero of the Week".

My favorite line

"I am confident that Arizona's utilities would be happy to take those electrons off your hands," Mr. Pierce said. "If, however, you find that the City Council lacks the strength of its convictions to turn off the lights in Los Angeles and boycott Arizona power, please reconsider the wisdom of attempting to harm Arizona's economy."

"Lacks the strength of its convictions"

And this is the type of bandwagon thinking that is forcing Arizona to lay the smack down. All that talk and scared of the actual bite.

Exactly, Mr. Pierce has been constantly telling these boycotting fools to think their position as a WISE Adult Should, but the children still keep throwing tantrums.

Tell you what....

I'll run my business as I see fit. You run yours according to your needs and wishes. That's the way it's done in America. No shirt, no shoes, no service!

It's called free enterprise.

So do you think she would ever be asked for her papers? Will she be standing on a corner looking for day work?

BTW what business you in since I don't think I want to buy your produce..I don't need it either....

Works both ways my friend...

That is, unless I happen to have a rule, in my business, which you don't like "ideologically".

This whole boycott thing really is silly, isn't it?

I welcome it. Hopefully those slack jawed yokels won't be taking over our beaches this summer like they always do. Talking a lot now but oh how they love to be here trying to be "Cali". I love it.

I'm out of here. Too many freckin biggots now. What's funny is you guys are still falling for all the games. What a joke you guys are. Still being torn apart and politicians on both sides don't care. They're playing you guys for fools. Have fun with it all, I won't take part. Your white america will never come tards. How do you plan to make anything that wasn't even yours to begin with only yours? Talk about no brains. Oh well, figures, look at who we're dealing with.

EDIT TO ADD MY OWN WORK INSTEAD HAHAHAHA ah forget it.
