Man Selling Spots In Hidden Bunker As Last Hope

cbs2.com

Where would you go in the event of a catastrophe? For $50,000, one man says he will guarantee your family's security in the event of a nuclear blast, tsunami, earthquake or other disaster.

"That whole upper structure can be blown away, debris could fall in here -- doesn't matter, [it] won't get inside," says Robert Vicino, a San Diego inventor and real estate entrepreneur.

Talk about fear-mongering.
So he's offering maximum protection when SHTF. Too bad if you die in any event, he'll be long gone with your money.
Imagine how many of these bunkers he'd be able to sell when Israel goes to war with Iran.

Bunkers were popular during the Cold War. Are we heading back to this trend?

I am not surprised by this
there was another thread
just this past week of a man
in Utah doing the same thing.
i see this guy is from LA
so it's a different story.

I guess there's money to be made
in disasters.

However, I think his claims are bogus
to protect your family. what if u and ur family
are on vacation in Bermuda when the
Tsunami hits

how is he gonna help u
when he and his bunker is 5,000
miles away???

Too bad youtube isn't working right now. But to be honest, based on the picture I can see, for 50Gs, that'd be a pretty nice place to die... or you can save your money and book a nice vacation to a tropical resort (that'd be nice too).

Well I'll buy into the oxygen add-on for an extra 5 grand. No problem there.

Its not so hidden.
Its a old AT&T microwave communication bunker. (AT&T Long Lines site)

I have been researching them for a couple years and there are a large number of them crossing the US.

When the SHTF i have plans based on these. There are about 2000 of these across the US.
If i find one with a number of vehicles parked around it i will know its been converted to a shelter.

The original system has been replaced with Fiber-optic cables.

And yes i know where the one is that is being converted. Its the third one east of Mojave Calif.

I guess I'll be heading there when SHTF with a pitchfork and a list of demands. See you there.

That video is fun...

"Where would you go with 3 days notice?"

To a computer generated bunker? Might as well die playing WoW, its more fun

Personally I'm not interested in it. Here our early warning system is tested every first monday of the month (sirens sounding all over the city). Only problem is, no one had money to fund the safety bunkers, so they're all closed. Nothing left to go to. But at least we'll be warned!!!

Besides, this fancypants designer bunker fail without a G.E.C.K. anyway.

I have more then a pitchfork.

Cover the air intakes and exhaust with plastic and plug the generator exhaust and see how fast someone pops up when the lights and air stops working.

It sounds a lot like "fallout3"... "You receive a mail from a vault101 representative telling you to gather your family and head for the shelter"
BTW 1 year alone is not enough in the event of a large meteor hitting Earth, or a nuclear attack, or even a pole shift. You will need years of living underground and have all the necessities to live through those years if not decades underground.

Really?... is that why part of Europe got invaded in the 7th century AD by the newly converted Muslim tribes?, or why nations have fought against other nations and tribes over resources throughout millenia?

You really need to stop being so naive and read up on the history of the world, and you will find that those countries that tried to isolate themselves got overrun by others time and again...

Whether you, and other people like it or not, people, just like animals need resources to survive, and from time to time there are conflicts and wars being fought over resources. This has been true in the history of mankind and it is going to be true for millenia to come.... That is unless you can come up with a Star Trek replicator which can make anything and everything from just the energy of space....

Remember that not all vaults are equiped with a G.E.C.K. module, and vault 101 doesn't have one...

switzerland

if you go there now its beautiful and so different than any other country.

their system was leaning fully towards isolation than intervention.

yet they got out of fighting any wars even though it was in the centre, and surrounded by both alliance. it basically sat in the centre of the front lines

Pardon my ignorance, but what is a "G.E.C.K." system? As far as switzerland is concerned, I wonder if they've been left alone in exchange for protecting/hiding the vast wealth that has been deposited there by govts, despots, dictators and the like...
