My Grandfather Was A Freemason!!

i dont know weather this interests you but my grandad was a freemason.
In my house i have a barometer which has the compass and set square symbols carved into it. My mum told me of a time when she had this friend whos dad died and he was a freemason,and the freemasons payed for all of her school fees untill she left school!!!
