Statements on the election of Barack Obama
In November 2008, shortly after the 2008 United States Presidential Election, the NPD published a document entitled "Africa conquers the White House" which stated that the election of Barack Obama as the first African-American President of the United States was the result of "the American alliance of Jews and Negroes" and that Obama aimed to destroy the United States' "white identity." The NPD claimed that "A non-white America is a declaration of war on all people who believe an organically grown social order based on language and culture, history and heritage to be the essence of humanity" and that "Barack Obama hides this declaration of war behind his pushy sunshine smile." The NPD also stated that the extensive support for Obama in Germany "resembles an African tropical disease."

In a statement headed "Africa conquers the White House," Juergen Gansel, a deputy in the Saxony state legislature from the far-right National Democratic Party of Germany, said multicultural America was seeking the destruction of "pure" national cultures.

Accusing Mr Obama of aiming to destroy the US's "white identity", Mr Gansel said: "A non-white America is a declaration of war on all people who believe an organically grown social order based on language and culture, history and heritage to be the essence of humanity."

Warning that "Barack Obama hides this declaration of war behind his pushy sunshine smile," Mr Gansel, whose party sympathises with neo-Nazi groups, said that Mr Obama's election was the result of "the American alliance of Jews and Negroes".

He concluded by declaring his hopes that Mr Obama's government is unsuccessful.

"It would be a gross irony of history if the first black president drove his clientele of minorities to openly revolt due to his grandiose domestic failure, and the much-touted American dream became a nightmare," he said.

The Berlin branch of the American Jewish Committee condemned the statement as an "open expression of racism, anti-Semitism and anti-Americanism."

A far-right politician in Germany characterized Barack Obama’s election as "the American alliance of Jews and Negroes."

The American Jewish Committee’s office in Berlin condemned the remarks made by Juergen Gansel, a deputy from the National Democratic Party, in a statement titled "Africa conquers the White House." Deirdre Berger, the office’s director, said she was shocked by Gansel’s "open expression of racism, anti-Semitism and anti-Americanism."

The far-right National Democrats are not represented in the Parliament but do hold two seats in two states in eastern Germany. The party’s anti-Semitic and anti-immigrant platform has attracted a following among disaffected youth and the unemployed, according to Deutsche Welle news.

In his statement, Gansel also condemned Germans’ enthusiasm for Obama.

"Many people in the ‘diverse’ republic of Germany have been swept up in Obama fever, which resembles an African tropical disease," he said.

I recognize that this is rather old from November of 2008. I did a quick search on ATS to check and see if it has already been posted and could not find anything upon this subject so I wanted to post it.

These radicals in Germany from the National Democratic Party of Germany are very racist and appeal to the fringe right. This is probably the reason they do not have a large percentage of German voters.
