Crazy happenings in NJ/PA

Been listening to the radio today, and here is two separate reports of some of the things going on so far today on NJ 101.5. This is weird because they always talk about current events and political topics and are rather serious on this channel. They discussed these for maybe a half hour before people started calling in making jokes and hoaxing it.

4:00 AM - Reports from the Philadelphia area of slow-moving fireballs in the sky. From the eye-witnesses they described them as moving VERY slowly.

9:00 AM - Reports from Somerset county (Hillsborough, Bridgewater, Branchburg) of a football-field sized black object hovering over highways 22, 202-206 moving southward. NJ 101.5 was on fire earlier today with call-ins describing this, and the first few of them sounded legitimately frightened and concerned.

Has anyone else heard anything else about these reports?

I live like right there. Haven't seen or heard anything though...

And that information would have come to me.

if this is real (i doubt it) watch them just dump voyager 2 on the highway and then be gone again. but would be interesting to hear from some one in NJ tho

I think it is in the T&C somewhere.
They want people to refrain from using one posts.

I am in Reading, PA, just west of Philthydelphia.
I haven't heard or seen anything about the subject of the OP.

I'm sorry I can't add any new information to this thread. I did want to say however, I live in NJ and I am constantly watching the skies just in case. I've never seen anything unusual EVER. I'm going to keep my eyes out tonight and hopefully I can spot something. I've always wanted to spot something that makes me say "Huh?!"

I'll post anything odd. I doubt anything will come of it though.

I'm in PA near the Jersey line (about 1/2 hr. drive); and haven't heard/seen anything strange so far. My hubby is a truck driver and was in Newark, NJ this morning, nothing said over the CB about it, either.

And, those truckers do like to chatter on to keep themselves alert...

Right here in NE PA (right by 206/202) and I have not heard anything either. 206 is a couple miles away from me.

I will keep an eye out and see if anything is up there.

Reports of someone who heard about someone talk about something someone else saw, now that's gotta be true.

Live north of there (Passaic Cty) - nothing up here

Just few months ago some yo-yos in Morristown staged a hoax tying flares to some balloons and laumching them

Set off number of UFO calls

Many hot air balloons fly out of Readington airport near there

My GF is a member of the launch crew for one balloon team

Usually fly at dawn or dusk .....

Reading PA huh? I live in Lancaster PA, about 20min or so from ya. Hi neighbor! Thought I was the only "crazy person" in this area

As for the reports, I haven't seen nor heard anything, I'll be keeping an extra eye out though.

No report of it on the NJ 101.5 Website. Even did a search in their database for keywords "ufo" "fireball" and "football". Nothing.

As later reported on 101.5, it was a hobby shop "weather" balloon. 10'x2' black foil toy that sells for $6. Sorry to burst your bubble. The Dennis & Judy show's blog was suppose to have a few photos once their producer got in.
