I think its about time the mainstream archelologists put their money where their mouth is and demonstrate to the rest of the world how they can move blocks over 1000ton using only materials that were supposed to be available at the time.

The Romans took obelisks from Egypt to Rome. In 37AD they took the 550 ton Lateran obelisk. It must have been one hell of a sight to see something of that scale being moved.
They had the same technology at their disposal as the Egyptians. Ropes, windlasses, manpower and beasts of burden. Oddly, I've yet to read anyone suggesting the Romans had mysterious technology, floated stones or were aided by aliens.

nice theory could definitely be a possibility ... i wouldn't rule that out at all considering a lot of these civilizations just seemed to disappear.
