Daytime UFOs over Texas - 5 May 2010

Found this today please tell me what you think.

White dot My girlfriend and I were sitting in the back yard, facing east. I noticed many white birds loitering at about 500-1000 ft. She looked for a second, then pointed out a 'white dot' that seemed motionless. I spotted it, and after about a minute it began moving slowly, taking an irregular path to the south. After another minute or two it stopped moving. After another 20-30 seconds the object moved again. Slowly, as before, but this time in more of an eastward direction. I watched for another 30-60 seconds, then I went inside the house to look for my binoculars, as the object was too far away to see any detail. When I emerged from the house, the object was gone. My girlfriend and daughter (10 yrs old) witnessed the object.

Could it be a hot air balloon? The conditions seem to be perfect for it.

Where in Texas are you? I live in Central Texas and Balloons are up in the air. But that looks too far up in the air for a Balloon IMO.

Looks like an up draft to me, you can see the birds using it.

My guess would be a white plastic bag floating around.

I live in southern Illinois and around 7:35pm-7:42pm CST 5/5/2010 I saw something similar. I got a VERY good look at it.

I was watching two commercial planes (one right behind the other) fly over heading due west..then I saw what looked to be a larger (lower) plane coming from the northwest heading southeast. At first I thought it was lower and larger and reflecting the setting sun it was so bright white. I waited (while feeding my dog) for it to come a little closer. It came right over head of where I was standing.

This object was not a plane..it could have been a satellite. It was a tube/cylinder possibly rectangular object with a very bright metallic outer surface. Even when it was away from the sun it was still very bright. I didn't see any lights whatsoever and absolutely no wings. It made NO noise and had no contrail. I ran in the house and yelled at my husband and kids to go out front and look up. They saw the object too and I asked my husband to look for any sign of wings. He didn't see any wings or hear any noise. That was that.

How do you know if a satellite was passing over?

Why I think it's fake:

1 - Purposely jerks camera around
2 - Makes no attempt to move position as "object" nears tree limb/leafs
3 - Camera movement seems to anticipate the erratic movement of the 2nd light

What I think it is:
Someone standing behind a glass door, filming outside. A light is shown on the glass and moved around to simulate an object

With as clear as it was yesterday, you would be able to see plane reflections from great distances. I'm south of Dallas and I see reflections off planes all the time, but once they move out of that range, I can't see the plane at all.

I don't think a grocery bag would just hover like that, it's been pretty windy consistantly here in Texas (at least central region) for the last several days.

Well fellow ATS members i believe this isnt a fake because back in december of last year me and a friend of mine was walking back to my house from town and when we seen a all white bird we thought it was strange. when we got back to my house is all you could see from one side to another side was a HUGE flock of white birds about 1000feet up and lemme say since two people seen it that day and now video proof of this which is basically the same thing we saw with a white dot just staying. and i live in a VERY VERY RURAL area so the only things flying above my house are chemtrail planes (easy to tell the differences between planes n chemtrail planes) and this was the 1st time in BOTH of our entire lives that we seen something like that.

At least the funny comment got a star!

My guess would be a plastic bag carried aloft by thermal activity.

Judging by the tree, there isn't much wind.

All these bright lights in hover are from electrostatic pulses.
The air is glowing.
Once you figure out how to do that you will be close to the
levitation in the ether.
