DeepOcean Blew On 4.20, A Date Countless Bad Things Have Happend On...

While Oilgeddon (to my knowledge I'm the first to coin this phrase has dominated our thoughts over the last 2.5 weeks, how many of us have stopped to realize the explosion that started this life-changing event happened on 4.20. We have talked about the Spring Sacrifice rituals and how countless events have transpired around this date. Everything from the killing of kings to school shooting to oil volcanos.

I remember a few days before 4.20 I was wondering if something would happen. The rig explosion came out of left field. I mean it has taken 3 weeks for me to realize the ramifications. This was not an accident. I honor 'them' for coming from a direction no one considered....

Can you provide some examples of the bad things that happened on that date, possibly with links to news stories?

my friends dad died on 420. Which can be a bringdown because thats like christmas to me.

obviously (likely?) a coincidence, but came to mind.

The only other catastrophe that occurred on 4/20 was Columbine, to my knowledge... unless you go into the Hitler's birthday thing, but that's still just two prior events =)

Just checked wikipedia before posting, there's a long list of all kinds of events, births and deaths on that date. Seems pretty harmless, though one other really nasty event was the Ludlow Massacre.

It's not only about 4.20 but about this time of year. The 'Rites of Spring' kind of stuff if you can understand....

I think 4/20 is awesome - that's the day I got married two years ago. Woohoo!
