Yeah, one of the set-backs to the Digital Revolution. If they are monitoring our broadcast signals. One day it's going to just cut-off. I hope it doesn't happen during a cliff-hanger of their favorite show In order to thwart the impending invasion we could offer them the series on DVD

Actually, "Uber", forgot to mention the background animation of your ATS avatar....perfectly (well, in a Star Trek way) illustrates the three-dimensionallity I mentioned, earlier.

Of stars, IF there was actually some way to go that fast, and how they might appear to 'move'....really, just perspective of motion, but looks good, and makes us feel like something is happening.

Radiation is prevalent throughout the universe in many forms, any advanced species should be familiar with it, and it is assumed would have harnessed it at some stage for communications.

Likewise electricity is a basic building block of technology and science.

Some ATS folks may scoff at this comment, but what if we are already in communication with alien races with remote viewing, lucid dreams, telepathy, astral projection, etc. You ask for alternative... My theory that we have the ability built into own brains, but our species does not have a protocol to communicate or verify contact. I believe we have our methods, but

We lack communication skills at many levels, so much so that we cannot even communication with other species on our own planet. I saw a poster once that said "Math is Universal"... and that may be, however how many species on our own planet know math? Many species communicate with each other (same species) in various ways and some without even making a sound, so it is not out of the realm of *possibility* that telepathic communication is the key to overcoming the space/time limitations.

For any species to be familiar with something simple with a digit "0" or "1", you would first need a primer of such a glyph to describe the meaning. Even a more sophisticated species is most likely to use a completely different symbolism for *any* communication whatsoever.

The reason I believe this is because I had a lucid dream a couple of months ago where I saw imagery of a female trying to communicate a message in sign language with her hands. I don't know sign at all, but I can tell you that the vast majority of my lucid dreams are mute. I can see the imagery, but I hear no sound at all.

I dont scoff at it at all, there is far more to the human mind then many believe. However I would point out that such communication would be treated with suspicion and disbelief by the general public, and thus would prove hard to act on, on a global scale, if we did receive a message.

Not to completely destroy this view that we technological advanced beings have ended all broadcasts involving Television. what do you think all those folks out there with bunny ears on their TVs receive. on top of that television isn't the only signals that were being broadcast you have fm radio that every one rocks out to, Ham radio operators screwing around and chatting and laughing at us with the computers, ect... now unless they have digital converters for their TVs they will lose the signal to fuzziness, damn the government on that one. but I refuse to believe that any Xeno receivers out there would be focused on the one of the signals. A bias that we visually based beings have built.

I just had a thought.

Imagine a young alien civilisation tuning into star trek or babylon 5...

Holy crap, there are interplanetary civilisations in the direction of Sol.

Or maybe just call photoshop... lol

My Theory
I think the message was alien satellite that goes around earth like planet.
The signal needs to come back if we will be persistent.
Take look at Kepler project that detect planets and you will understand what I mean.
