Wow, this is an incredible year!

Earth changes incoming! I'm betting on some interesting seismic activity over the next week.

Holy crap, that's big!

Not to change the subject (I think it is related actually)

But...

Does anyone have a theory, or explanation, as to the relationship
between the recent solar activity and the UFO's around the sun...
and how that confirms, or denies, the "John Lear Classic" theory
about the sun being ELECTRIC and not nuclear fusion based?

I know it is not his theory- I just heard about it from him.

Anyway- why is this theory so ridiculed? It would explain much.

Thoughts?

That is a big one. If this is that big, maybe there will be a quake, all though I am a skeptic of that theory.

They had a Smaller CME from that same reigon on May 3rd.

That CME is as big as the sun itself!

I wonder what would happen if the exact same flare happened, but pointing in the direction of earth? How long before we would feel the effects here on earth (hypothetically speaking)?
Nice catch, OP!

none of the spaceweather sites that I follow are reflecting this yet. (n3kl.org, spacew.com or spaceweather.com)
Maybe we're finally headed for solar maximum after all. (fingers crossed)
But INCREDIBLE pics from the weekend/ early week!

I'm looking for images from the SDO (Solar Dynamics Observatory). If I find any, I will post them.

Well I didn't find any, or they haven't been released yet.

I dont want to crash this thread, but how is this that surprising? Dont we see CME's of this magnitude all the time with SOHO?
