Russian official admits to boarding alien spacecraft?

The story itself occurred in 1997 according to the ABC blog. Why is it coming out now?

I heard this on the 4 o'clock BBC radio 4 news. I thought I had imagined it for a while

I'm sure it will be on the news all night as their amusing 'cat stuck up a tree' type story.

You've got to question why they are running this story on the news when there's tons of election stuff going on and chaos in Greece. It's an interesting story, especially if the Russians really are going to investigate his claims. The russians have had a different approach to aliens and UFO's for years.

And remmember now, the way I interpreted it, it wasnt this excentric billionair telling the Aliens how many Nukes Russia has, 'but maybe about the possibly' disclosing Russian secrets of E.T. Life to the public.

My guess is...
It's convenient to some other purpose.

I will give this story a "plausible"... for the following reason: The Russian government is paranoid about him compromised state secrets which is NOT the same is saying "This guy is a nut. He say he boarded an alien craft." What I am saying here... The claim is bizarre, the response even more so.... Almost like a formal acknowledgment with a legitimate response to a extraordinary claim. In any otherr society, this person would be heading to a rehab for a few months.

True or not, nothing will come out of this im afraid. There is no one out there that would want something like this to be true, but i have learnt to be skeptical on anything to do with disclosure.

I have to assume all this talk of ET's is leading to a climax.. I just hope I get to "finish"

Disclosure looks like its gonna be forced. We can't even get through the entire Ancient Aliens documentary first...

I think we need ET help to clean up the Gulf Mess, perhaps this is why it it coming out.

If any government in the world, especially Britain and the US, discloses the reality of alien life; I'm running for the hills. Remember that these are the people who are putting poison in the air you breath, the water you drink, and the food you eat. Any ET's in contact with these people cannot be interested in helping the rest of humanity.

What I wonder is why would BENEVOLENT beings visit a man such as this?... This guy wants to be a despot, a tyrant, yet "BENEVOLENT BEINGS" visited him?.... hummm...

However the response from the Russian officials shows that they know aliens do exist and have been visiting us, otherwise they wouldn't have even believed the claim made by this man.

As for what sort of Russian secrets they don't want out, they would include the statements and warnings given by former high ranking Russian officials about how the Russians, and Chinese have wanted to take down the west so that the Russians, Chinese can become the new superpowers superceeding the U.S. and the west.

Appart from that the fact that the Russian maffia are the same players who were part of the KGB and Kremlin, etc. If more RUssians were aware of this they might revolt for all we know.

If "BENEVOLENT" beings had evidence for all of this it might be of concern to the Russian government. Just saying.

You are kidding right?.... The Russians and CHinese have their own version of a NWO...

We have had several threads with interviews of former high ranking Russian officials who have come clean once they defected to the west and warned us for decades about what is happening these days.

It's at the 26 minute mark. The newsreader mentions Stephen Hawking aswell.

It takes some guts to come out with something like this , especially considering his position. Hell , I had an experience in 1979 that I will probably never even post on ATS , as almost no one would believe it. Outside of some weird sense of humor ,(and that's a stretch) I cant see any reason he would make this up.

Even if he is telling the truth, where is the proof. At the end of the day, that is what is needed to convince that hardend skeptic. We need proof, not just a story. Does not matter if there was more than one witness.

Seems too incredible that not one of the three witnesses spoke to anyone about seeing this supposed exchange take place. Wouldn't you think they'd have to confide in someone? What about the "tube" out on the balcony of an apartment? Kind of obvious - no?

The story changed on BBC Radio 4 later in the day, it didn't mention anything about them saying in the letter "If it isn't just a joke" it then disappeared from the news broadcasts for a few hours, then when it did come back it mentioned the part about the joking, which tells me there was more editing done to the story during the day before a revised version was put out, those who heard it early on should back this up.

There where a few other changes also, at first it was said he was taken aboard the craft, but when it came back it said he went to the craft himself, it's always the small details that make the differences, I recorded the 18.00 version on my phone, and will upload to the ATS media forum later, the BBC I player is hard to download off, and the story will only be available for a short time before being taken down, I have been told by some friends also they cant hear it in certain parts of the World is that true?
