There are two words that you will always hear from a person who doesn't know for sure, and is BSing you.
The second most common is "possible". The first is "impossible."
Please don't say "it couldn't have been in _____" unless you can back it up with something, however thin.
As for South America- South America fits nicely enough, except that Timeas says there was another continent on the other side, and South Americans say
they're from Aztlan or some such place... those two facts in conjunction lend credence to the mid atlantic ridge. Also, Plato's description says
that there was one island of it near spain, which held control over Cadiz, which was originally named for an Atlantean King. There is a projection
from the ridge correstponding to this very nicely.
