Ah, now this is within my area of expertise. What you're describing is the effect of "comb-filtering" produced by "standing-waves". Most likely the original sound energy was also propagated through some kind of tube (an underground waterway would work) & amplified in the same way that a bull-horn amplifies the voice, by directing the sound in 1 particular direction, rather than allowing it to dissipate exponentially, in the same way non-coherent light does.
Another effect that may have contributed is that when sound energy impacts an object, it will resonate within the parameters of its shape, size & whatever dampening is caused by its immediate surroundings, thus adding harmonics to the original sound which have no direct, or "musical" connection to the source. These harmonics will also propagate through a tube & also cause other objects to vibrate in similar fashion, creating more unrelated noise. Its quite possible then for the sound of dripping water to end up making a noise like an old diesel engine, if you're stood in the right spot to hear it. Also, "clanking" tends to describe what we sound nerds would call 'a width-modulated square wave with additional even numbered harmonics that was rhythmically amplitude modulated by an envelope with sharp attack, quick decay, low sustain &, without further info, indeterminate release' - exactly the type of thing I'd expect from the process I've described above.
Anyone can decode this nerdery by considering a church organ & then hitting a big concrete sewer pipe with a good sized hammer.

If anyone researches "Vox Dei", you'll discover that the organ pipe of that name is not particularly wide (you dont see them: they're just square section tubes of wood so cant be polished up pretty like the pipes you do see), compared to a concrete sewer, but it produces a note so low that we cant hear it: we just feel the sub-bass &, just like sub generators at a dance party, it adds to the "religious" experience. Now, if you stand at the opening of a big concrete sewer, which couldn't possibly resonate on its own at a frequency you could hear, & bang its edge with your lump/sledge-hammer, you'll hear a strange kind of "boing" sound. This is the combination of the effects I described above.
If The Sphinx were hollow, it would resonate just due to the effect of wind & blown dust on its outsides, nevermind the mechanical energy transmitted into it from earth movements, traffic & underground water movements, in the same way that suspension bridges do. Its inconceivable that there is nowhere within the vicinity that, however low the frequency of that vibration may be, it wouldn't cause sympathetic vibration in other structures &, considering how large The Sphinx is, the amount of sound energy produced couldn't possibly go unnoticed.

Indeed you have. I wont deny having enjoyed reading some of Dan's fiction: the bloke definitely has a talent for it. Still, a massive part of that talent is a facility with the English language. There's plenty of examples of entertaining fiction co-written by 2 authors: Terry Pratchet & Neil Gaiman spring to mind. I think Wayne & Judy would probably do better if they took some courses on creative writing & went balls-out into sci-fi. You never know, it could end up, L. Ron Hubbard stylee, getting them the adulation they crave, but in the meantime, it'd pay the bills without having to spend so much effort rallying the Light Brigade.
ETA: I'm sorry Judy, I used the above expression out of habit. "Balls off" would have been cruel, but, lets have it right, as I said above: you've made mistakes...

I am bisexual & regularly engage in the kind of activities most people will only ever see in porn. I wouldn't criticise anyone for a funky lifestyle choice, or I'd be a hypocrite. I could hardly be jealous, since I'm actually doing it, so much so that I'm starting to think I may need to calm down a bit more than I already have b/c it is taking a physical toll on me & I'm getting older. However, from experience of wounds elsewhere on my body, knowing that scar tissue is pretty numb, I'd have to say that deliberately getting your genitals messed with surgically is a serious mistake.
I also remember that I've made some bad mistakes in my life &, usually, for a while thereafter couldn't admit to myself what a pillock I'd been. Instead, in the normal human manner, I sought outside stimuli & gratification to distract me from the nagging knowledge that I was going wrong. Thankfully, I am also a good mate, so I have good mates that will tell me "Oi! Sort yourself out, or there'll be consequences."
I never did attempt to perpetrate a mass HOAX, but I did misrepresent myself as more successful than I was & lie about my failures, but in the end it always comes down to the bottom line, "show me the evidence or # off."

I'm placing my faith in the idea that people who see BIAD will want the Real McCoy & strive to experience such, rather than settle for the Herschel'd up wanking they're habitually bombarded with & told to want. I may be wrong too, but the tide of history seems to suggest that the more BIAD we see, the less Oneism we're prepared to accept.

If I haven't made this clear so far, I have no problem with Onanism, so long as people realise its a stop-gap & dont try to tell the rest of us what to do with whatever we are endowed with. If they want to settle for self pleasure, its none of my business, but, sadly, the salient feature of religion is to encourage people to lie to themselves & poke their noses into others' business. The adherents then break their own rules in private until/unless they rise to sufficient status that they can break them in public with impugnity. So Oneism can 'one right off' as far as I'm concerned.

I really hate taking the Freudian road of "so how was your childhood?" because that line of reasoning is usually bunk, and serves only to make excuses, but I think in this case there may really be such a causality link.

Cant say I'm a big fan of Freud either, but... for a variety of reasons, in the last 12-ish years, my own psychoanalytical skills have needed to be honed, so I've become able to get a whole variety of people to be as honest with me as they can be with themselves. As a result, I'm starting to think that the problem with Freud is that English wasn't his 1st language, so a lot of his ideas, in translation, are like taking a sledgehammer to a carpet tack: lacking the subtlety they probably had contained within his mind.
I wonder if this may have been the case with Wayne & Judy. In that, whatever it all began as, they just didn't know what their words mean to most English speakers &, once the ball was rolling, got caught up in their own hype?

Now out of all this came something interesting the star HIRAM ABIF rang a bell in my memory and i revisited the Amazon site that Waynes book was being touted on and if you remember an earlier post of mine when i related the reviews on his book i mentioned a review which was such a glowing review and said the book was worth its weight in gold.........................well the name of the reviewer who had only ever reviewed the one book was.............................................wait for it HIRAM ABIF would you believe it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd really like to know why anyone would attempt to translate such nebulous concepts & connections as are the basis of spiritual beliefs into words, when to do so is nigh on impossible, but also inviting others to abandon their own spiritual path in favour of somebody else's. Are they so insecure that they cannot tread their own path without a hord of followers behind them? I'll tell ya, I've got some spiritual notions that are pretty unusual, as far as I've so far discovered, but I'll not tell ya what they are. To do so would, imo, be about the only thing I'd confidently call a sin. What I will do is describe the journey & some of the sights along the way, where relevant to a situation at hand, & trust that if anyone is going in the same general direction that I am, they'll either resonate with what I'm on about, or it'll just be more verbiage that goes in 1 ear & out the other, doing no harm on the way.

For reasons that I'll allude to, I cant be @home tonight. Even if I could, chances are that none of the 'little darlings' would accept sweets from me, b/c I'm a bit genuinely scary looking & couldn't be bothered with a scary mask to hide behind. Instead, I've left some cheap Halloween related bits & bobs outside my house. Most of the kids around there are muslim, but there'll be a few that aren't, or were just playing along for laughs, that have been out & about. I expect that when the 1st kid discovers a £1 coin under a plastic bat, there'll be a mad dash to find what else I've left lurking.
There are also some less obvious Samhain related symbols lying about with more money under them & the most obscure, which is always hiding there in plain sight, has a £20 note under it. I'll be disappointed but not suprised if its still there when I return. If the kids want more sweets, they can buy them, but I live in hope that, those that already have sufficient interest to have discovered the greater rewards may treat themselves to a book & learn more.
Its a fallorn hope, but I've many of those. Between them & my responsibilities is whatever reason I'm still here. After all, the despair that arises just from the ability of people like Wayne & Judy to perpetrate this utter bollocks is almost enough to make me want to shuffle off.

i am actually not allowed a break, i must have a computer available at all times just in case any alien stories are uncovered so i can quickly discredit them, but fortunately the agency i work for provided me with a very impressive machine that just uses my agency standard black leather gloves as the control mechanism kinda like on the movie "minority report" and the screen is inside my agency standard dark glasses a bit like in modern fighter jets helmet mounted displays.

According to my research homosexuality was outlawed and a crime in South Africa untill the 90s, however that law has been removed. There exist sexual equality right accross the board for lesbian, gay, bi-sexual and transgender individuals.

Also President Mbeki did give a pardon to Ms Faltskog and she has no criminal record at all in South Africa.
This you can check with the Criminal Records center in Pretoria.

You can hardly call a person a criminal cause she kissed the woman she loved in public!!!!

Furthermore, if as you claim Ms Faltskog is a transexual person, she would not have been arrested for kissing a woman in public as the records would reflect then that the person is/was male and no criminal offence was commited.

So your speculations that she was a male fall flat on its face right there.

I requested information regarding this from the South African Government and due to their law on giving out personal information, I was able to find out that she was born in Sweden and immigrated with her family to South Africa at age 7 !! Her sex was registered as female even back then, so again your transgender theory flies out of the window!!

There also exists no connection between Ms Faltskog and the name "Van Greunen"

It could be that due to her interest in UFOs that she met James van Greunen who had interest in the same subject.

I think all the talk of family break-ups are total hog wash and are people who felt let down cause their partners became involved romantically with Ms Faltskog. Sour Grapes mabe!!?? Revenge!!???
