“At these [Tea Party] events, a professional Republican always speaks,” said Choate. “What to me is questionable is that the Tea Parties endorse candidates, but never endorse Democrats—they seem to be a front for the Republican Party. We were seen as very serious. Perot gave millions, we fielded candidates, and we were a real threat to the status quo. The media treats the Tea Parties as a sign of dissatisfaction, and views them skeptically.”

Pat Choate, Ross Perot's running-mate in 1996, has been REALLY critical of Tea Parties lately. I am inclined to agree with him, as well. The Tea Parties are a front for the GOP.

Tea Parties are funded through the GOP.
Doesn't surprise me none that they have
GOP speakers.

The Tea Party was invented as a way
to bring the far right fringe and some
democrats with far reaching ideologies
into the fold of the GOP. It is a divide
and conquer strategy by the GOP.
How else could they get so much MSM
attention when the Libertarian Party
and the Constitutionalists Party and
independent party largely go
un-noticed in the MSM?

It is a farce to steal voters.
