Is this thread anything more than an attempt to label something? The problem with labels and all generalities is that they convey no real meaning to anything. Just one tiny facet of a bias.

Honestly I don't think one word covers it all, it's a vast place with
each state having its own personality and customs. We have a great system of clean public restrooms, public garbage cans for trash, nice libraries, payphones, and beverage vending machines which makes traveling around ideal.

I agree with frugal, most of the world see's america as one big country, yet anyone who lives in america can clearly tell you how different the states are. I meen look at arizona's new immigration law. Some states are for it, others are against. And most of the state government are getting tired of the Us Government, even talk of sucession(if it does happen im moving to texas or arizona for that matter)
