I hate to admit it but I used to work for a company that made those gold plated Ak 47's. You have NO CLUE how much friggin work it is to mirror polish those pieces of junk metal. Bolt, gas tubes, barrel, rings, even the front blade sight. I'm grateful I'll never have to polish one of those again.

I had always wondered who was tacky enough to buy one of them, now I know

"War on drugs" is same BS as "war on terror". Both are DESIGNED to be without chance of "victory". Orwell's "inner" and "outer" enemy if you want it on silver plate.

Ganja is almost legal here in Czech Rep.. Almost everybody who want to smoke on regular bases grow up his own. Only trouble are Vietnam gangs who have big plantations and smuggle grass into Germany. Why? Because it is quite dangerous to grow up your own at Germany. This gang grass is too bad to sell it at Czech market and nobody reasonable do not want to have anything with this gangs. Sure, there is quite big business with grass at Czech republic but it have no quality of gang activity! Because it is tolerated. Usual model is, that you sell half of your harvest to pay your investment (almost everything is hydroponics so quite expensive). My estimate on average harvest is 450g/3 month. Say 250g are sold usually to neighbors, or other local ring. THERE IS NO SPACE FOR MAFIA TO EVEN EMERGE because every other is self sufficient or have friend who is.

Next step is to make it legal under same law/taxation as alcohol and tobacco are. But this must be policy at EU level to stop this gangs and their police/politicians counterparts.

Notice we aren't seeing any prior ATS threads and/or news stories showing the same stack of cash and weapons of Saddam and/or Mexican Drug Lords. Because those who choose that path of response either

1: Check and discovered they were wrong

OR

2: They were just trying to start something (and didn't bother to read the article(s) anyway).

I think it is funny about the cash stacks like it could only be happen one time and those photos will be used forever..... lol

Ignorance is one of the biggest problems in the fight against the Cartels.

According to THIS the money came from Mexico City. That is 207 million dollars and it pretty much fills up a room. I wonder how much a billion would be, or how much is the national debt? I bet you could fill the Yankee stadium to the brim with that amount.

Kudos to you. Thank you. SO, I guess the media does like to expand on its stories-by using old photos in attempts to better the story.

I learned something today. Makes me distrust them even more. I guess this is acceptable in the MSM circles. I assumed a paper/media would fear a lawsuit by using old photos from another story-and not indicating such.

And the MSM did it again. They lied. They pretend something is something else to make everyone viewing say "wow, look at that". PATHETIC

Here's a real photo of a Mexican weapons cache
[atsimg]http://files.abovetopsecret.com/images/member/5c219c6aae5c.jpg[/atsimg]
funny thing is since they have better arms, the Army is pressing a lot of these weapons into service... few more captured rocket launchers and .50 cal's and the Mexican Army might find itself on equal footing with the cartels

Dang! That is a lot of weapons. DaddyBare: Just found this article
from 2007 regarding another type of bounty the cartels are
pushing. Have you heard about this one? Unbelievable..... that they continue to see no limits towards extinguishing human lives.

Yup, the Shadow Wolves are made up of eight tribes of brother red skins, the Tohono O'odham, Navajo, Sioux, Lakota, Blackfeet, Omaha, Yaqui.

now those are some bad boys and woe be to all who enter the Tohono O'odham nation tribal grounds...

Kind of a cool side story is the words most famious Mexican bad guy hunter was a fellow Apachie

His real name was Goyathlay ("one who yawns") and by all accounts was this rather peace loving back woods red skin who dearly loved his little family...

In the summer of 1850, Goyathlay accompanied his tribe to go on a trading expedition with the people of Janos. While Goyathlay and some of the other warriors traded with the people of Janos, their lightly guarded camp was attacked by Mexican soldiers from Casas Grandes. Around 50 were killed and about 100 were sold into slavery. Among the dead was Goyathlay's wife, Alope, his three children, and his mother.

That night, Goyathlay attended a war council. At nightfall the apaches began to gather at the appointed meeting place. as he tells the story

"Silently we stole in one by one: sentinels were placed, and, when all were counted, I found that my aged mother, my young wife, and my three small children were among the slain. There were no lights in camp, so without being noticed I silently turned away and stood by the river. How long I stood there I do not know, but when I saw the warriors arranging for a council I took my place. Since we were surrounded by Mexicans far inside their own territory, we could not hope to fight successfully. So our chief, Mangas Coloradas gave the order to start at once in perfect silence for our homes, leaving the dead upon the field. I stood until all had passed, hardly knowing what I would do....I did not pray, nor did I resolve to do anything in particular, for I had no purpose left. I finally followed the tribe silently, keeping just within hearing distance of the soft noise of the feet of the retreating."

It was after this event Goyathlay began his famous guerrilla actions. Soon after this tragic event he also received his power, which came to him in visions. Goyathlay was never a chief, but a medicine man, a seer and a spiritual and practical leader both in and out of battle. The Apache chiefs depended on his wisdom.

He was given the name Geronimo by Mexican soldiers, This appellation stemmed from a battle in which, ignoring a deadly hail of bullets, he repeatedly attacked Mexican soldiers with a knife, causing them to utter appeals to Saint Jerome ("Jeronimo!"). ... Cant say I blamed him, kill my family and I'll make you pay!

Since your are Apache DB I wanted to ask you a question; why did the Apache have a ban on eating fish? I love the stories of Geronimo (I always thought his real name was Goyakla, but whatever) and Lozen, these were some of America's greatest warriors yet their stories seem unknown by the general public.

Trying to keep this in tune with the OP let me say that ban come from another notorious Mexican Don Juan de Oñate Salazar (1552–1626) Spanish explorer, colonial governor of the New Spain (present-day Mexico.
He's famous for over running the Acoma Pueblo and because they had the nerve to fight back ordered every Acoma male to have his right foot cut off... he also poisoned dried fish to kill the vermin in the new world...we red skins...(That's why the ban, but I doubt many alive today know that) bait traps... Anyway this bad boy would end up being recalled and made to answer for his actions, nothing was done he went back to Spain to oversee mining operations there... but later he would be the primary cause of the The Pueblo Revolt of 1680 where the Spanish were chased out of what is present day US of A... so you could say we down here have had hundreds of years of bad blood with the Mexicans

Yes legalize drugs so that more can be spent on helping people who's lives may spiral out of control and tax an already overburdened society. I have no qualm with legalizing pot but things like coke, heroin....no way. What I find more disturbing is these imbeciles who's life purpose is to legalize something like pot when there are so many more important "real" issues to address (poverty, hunger, illiteracy to name a few). People with priorities so far out of whack are clearly lost and misguided individuals who deserve little time, effort or sympathy from the general population.

The important issue in this thread is Drugs and how to stop them. Giving up is not an option because many innocent lives had been caught in its addictive webs and seen their future destroyed.

It is a sad waste of humans given the gift of live. And worse to see the animals profitting with it, and claiming that they are merely providing a capitalist approved need for the market.

My rather shallow suggestions are:-

1. Spend more money to build up a credible informant network not only on the dealers but suppliers as well, and use satallite imagery/phone tapping with Congress approval on known suppliers.

2. As these big wigs on drugs supply are from overseas nations, the State department must IMPRESSED harder on the country to allow drone and missle attack at nights when no worker working on the production and agriculture plants, as it is a clear and present danger to humanity.

There is NO profit from another man's suffering, even if he is a non-citizen as most guilty nations' leaders are fond of claiming it is a problem with other people buying such stuff.

If the State Department fails to gains approval within 3 months, they must be sacked from the job and a new team with diplomatic savvy be brought in to work on the other govt.

3. All drug addicts caught be given a fair trial, and punished as according to the law, but be made to spill the beans on his contact by hook or by humane crooked means, for this is to prevent another innocent human from being harmed.

Once they have spilt the beans and their dealer identified, they would be given a new identity to live in another state after finishing his term in prison for his crime, which is to rehabilitate him and help him overcome drug dependecy.

6 months of living expenses will be paid to him, but after that he will have to find a job on his own, and may providence not let him relapse.

4. Police officers or Commanders found 'on the take' with irrefutable evidence will have their wealth stripped, even if deposited on another's name and exiled. These people had been dangerous and may have compromised the lives of brave undercover agents and informants. They are animals and should be grateful that their lives had been spared and not taken away.

5. Grade school teachers must ALWAYS impressed upon the young on the dangers of drugs. There are many other ways to achieve a 'high' life. Drugs is not the way, not even for experimentation sake for it is addictive.

Perhaps a extra amount of money be made for them for such duties may be a motivation to be more 'inspirational' and effective.

Make no mistakes, drugs is a clear and present danger not only to societies, but to the precious gift of human life. The human potential is far and wide, and even though depression or loneliness occurs, there are other ways to obtain happiness in life than the temporary, expensive and addictive fix from drugs, and this must be taught from young.

My humble 2 cts as contribution. Wish I could do more, like hunting down the dealers as a vigilante myself...( Edit: No, better to leave it to the professionals or I will only probably make a mess of things!:-P)

To say the US doesn't stand a chance is utter BS! We are the most technologically, militarily superior nation the Earth has ever seen. If our politicians and government REALLY cared about putting an end to this drug war and these drug cartels it would happen overnight. These drug traffickign pukes would be NO MATCH for the 101st, 82nd, Navy Seals, Marine Recons, or the average Marine or soldier. Instead of fighting the useless wars overseas we should send our boys to the border and drop these pieces of human trash like the flies that they are. You come to this country legally or you're shot dead. Do that for a few months and this issue would vanish into history. But America is such a multicultural love fest and our government is such an incompetent bunch of fools it would never happen.

Woah! You mean you are prepared to MURDER another defenceless human who is only trying to escape from poverty and repression, without fair trial?

So how long have you been fondling your gun sexually?

Yes lets do this, because we all know that when you kill people for a couple of months straight they stop trying whatever they're doing. I mean look at Iraq and Afghanistan, they are both peaceful countries now. And that's how the Vietcong ultimately gave up and surrendered right?

Good God man!!! What load of crap you can find in these forums sometimes. At times I can't even distinguish it from 4chan.

Which begs the question then. If the problem can be conquered by the US gov't why the hesitation. Could it possibly be that infiltrating the drug industry could impede CIA money flow ? Drugs are good from the governments perspective. They keep people continually stupid, desperate and needy, a perfect formula for suppression and control.

Yes the pentagon has plans for everything. Yes Im sure the US govt would like to extend their imperialistic approach to problem solving by invading a sovereign nation. Weinberger attended Bohemiam so his "book" and views are something to be taken lightly. I much prefer the works of someone like Gary Webb but he paid the ultimate price.

Bottom line, there is far too much coin involved here to interfere with. The war on drugs will not end because the US government black ops rely on the cash flow.
