Hello guys, thank you for the warm welcomes.

One topic I am interested in at the moment is the oil spill off the Gulf coast. It seems such a mega disaster, I just cant understand why the safety equipment isn't better.

I'm also interested in the way Governments behave in private as opposed to their public media face. The Gordon Brown fiasco in the U.K. is just one example.

One more thing, can anyone tell me where to find out how the 'flag' system works on ATS? Can I flag topics?

I am heading out this weekend to help with the cleanup effort from the spill. I will be posting pictures throughout the project in a thread, and I will try to remember to post you a link here.

We will be working in some of the wetland areas, not that dangerous.. but beneficial for sure.
