It violates the Eighth Amendment prohibiting cruel and unusual Shari'ah Law, it violates the tenth amendment guaranteeing that powers not delegated to the federal government belong to the states or to the people.

The Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC), a group of 57 Muslim majority nations, holds the largest voting bloc in the UN. The OIC Secretary General, Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, is the one who congratulated Obama on his inauguration, and appealed for the new president's help to work out problems that face the Muslim world.

In 1990, the OIC adopted the Cairo Declaration on Human Rights in Islam at the nineteenth Islamic Conference of Foreign Ministers on August 5, 1990 dictating that Islam is the only legitimate religion.

The ACLJ said, in promotion of its petition opposing the resolution, that: "They're attempting to pass a sinister resolution that is nothing more than blatant religious bigotry."

Well I can into more detail if you'll like. In Islamic countries, like Indonesia, Iran and Saudi Arabia Sharia law is the law of the country. These countries with their large Muslim populations and desire to enforce laws of Islam. Islam is not this big evil entity in the world. Of course many of it's followers are idiots and will say something moronic from time to time.

Look, there have been issues here accepting things like the Roman Church.. ongoing now for about 1,600 years.. and locally to me they still burn effigies of the Pope..

While still being miffed about the Normans trying to impose there laws at the point of a sword.. Yet have still continued stubbornly to use English Borough laws etc.. In fact my family still do go by English Borough laws, That's nearly 1,000 years later, so somehow I really do not feel Islam will get a look in as there is simply to much baggage already..

Iran and Saudi, sort of. There is no Sharia law in Indonesia. Vast majority of women don't wear a hijab there. They have literally millions of Hindus and Natives with Animist religions that are all protected and treated with respect.

Egypt doesn't have sharia law. Turkey Doesn't. Pakistan doesn't In fact, MOST countries in the middle east / central Asia don't have any resemblance of Sharia law anymore.... Dhimmitude is the Muslim system of controlling non-muslim populations conquered through jihad. Specifically, it is the TAXING of non-muslims in exchange for tolerating their presence AND as a coercive means of converting conquered remnants to Islam.
