Pink Tornado looking clouds over Palm Springs

Received these from a family member living in Palm Springs, CA. Looks odd and have never seen this kind of cloud formation ever appear in Palm Springs. I lived there for 8 years and this is a trip to look at.

Cool looking pics.
I would suspect the color has to do with the time of day these occurred. Either early morning or very late afternoon.
Do you know when they were taken?

The pictures say 4/27/2010. So they were taken within the last 12 hours or so. yes it was later in the day at about Sunset which would give it that pinkish look to them.

These have been over Apple Valley for months. I will post some pics also
after I find some. I could prolly just go out side right now and see some.

Wonder what the weather "experts" will name this. Corkscrew cloud with pink tint.

Don't worry folks. Gubmint isn't spraying 1000's of tons of weather modification chemicals to manipulate weather, and consequently, mankind.
