Not really sure why the T&C don't apply on this thread. But apparently they don't. It's an insult-a-thon. Where are the mods?

Opposed to being told that we don't even remember where our own country is? Maybe we just need to be acsended or something to be able to see through the supposed interdimentional shift. Only the special can see the real time line..

Myself.. well I can read maps just fine. It is the places that are wrong not me.

Not really sure how that's a response to me...I don't think I made any comment about your knowledge of where your country is...but you sort of made my point with your surly, (sarcastic?) unreasonableness.
Thank you.

I vote for 'C' as how i would draw it if asked, but with the position of New Zealand more like 'A' further North.
And i always "felt" that PNG was further East,
but looking at my sons atlas' and globe makes you realise that something is amiss,

I think it's my brain and its neural network recall system.. that could be my timeshift.

I also thought that North America was Waaaay bigger and much further south and Hawaii was next to California.

Good Luck on your quest mate

As a navigation officer on merchant ships who has sailed extensively in the area for many years; it is really as it is depicted on maps and always has been.

Not sure what people's problem with the proximity of papua new guinea is, it has always been like that. Where do they think the Great barrier reef is? Absolutely stunning area of the world and the Torres Strait transit is one of the most interesting areas I have ever navigated.

I just asked my friend and his mom about which one they think it looks like and they both said D.

His mom says she cant remember exactly what it looks like but D is the closest. My friend said its either D or E but it cant be C he thought C was completely wrong.

We spent an hour arguing about maps being outdated and changed etc. to match the way it really looks, and then his mom picks up a really old globe they had lying around and my friend immediately realized something was wrong.

My sister also remembers it as C. There is something very weird going on here and i think the 98 members thing is a bit of an understatement. If you really asked more and more people about this im sure the numbers would be much higher.

The assertion is that an entire continent of people are too stupid to have noticed a change in the position of their own country so yes thats exactly what you are saying. Yet you can see this change?
Please don't pretend thats not insulting or arrogent.

I reponded to you because you are crying out for mod intervention yet no one has called you names or broken the T and C yet you have done this while now calling me surly and unreasonable? Not agreeing that my country has actually moved position is not unreasonable.. but expecting us to believe your imaginings over reality and ourselves certainly is.

Want us to take you seriously? Well I have a serious question for you.

How did this "change in time line" effect Captain Cook's voyage?

Well those 98 members need to go and do a course in geography and actually learn and remember where different countries are. Are those 98 members all from the US?

Do they not teach geography of other countries in America?

This repeat thread seems to be just a Flag gathering exercise, all for the sake of 98 members with no geography education, or extremely bad recall.

I'm all for the possibility of Timeline Shifts, don't get me wrong, but when it just hasn't actually happened its a bit puzzling why another thread has been started repeating the exact same enigma (bad memory).

Are ATS members paid to start repeat threads that hold no relevance to reality?

This is not bad memory. So far everyone around me that ive asked about this is 100% certain that C is completely wrong.

I just got into an argument with my dad. He was certain that C was wrong. I told him that i agreed with him but the current maps all look alot like C and not like any of the other ones. He said whats your point? he didnt even realize the consequence of that...

He thought that its a possibility that the continents moved and the maps where either printed weird or wrong etc. I then showed him my map in my textbook from high school(2002). I even showed him a map online from like the 1900s, mentioning how every map you look at today looks exactly like C.

He then told me "Somebody screwed up."

I asked, "Who?"

He paused, and then responded with "Whoever made the map.."

Folks... this is getting more bizarre by the minute.

Just because your father is also bad a geography doesn't prove "something weird" is going on. It might just mean you have an inadequate education system in your state.

Did he get high grades in geography? Did you? Do you know anything about Australia apart from what you don't remember?

"Whoever made the map"? The guy who mapped Australia also mapped New Zealand and other islands. You don't even know who he is (which should be a must when argueing against the credibility of his maps). New Zealand did not just start drifting north.. and even if it did the islands would have broken apart. If you look at the map properly you will see that NZ fits the lower Australian east coast perfectly.

Im not really on board with the dimensional shift thing... there could be another explanation of this..

but if some of you out there seriously think we are so bad at maps that we misgauged the distance of australia to papa new guinea by thousands of miles then you really have no faith in our intelligence.

ya man... im a friggin retard who doesnt know the difference between 3,000 miles of sea and 50 miles of sea...

you got it man...

were all just a bunch of retards...

why even debate... when you can just call everyone who disagrees a retard.

I mean, if you really cant tell the difference between a map that looks like D as opposed to a map that looks like C you really have to be a retard. So, if i conclude that you are right and i am bad at geography, by my own standards i am a retard.
So good job accidently(or purposefully) insulting many forum goers of their own intelligence.

C is wrong, its not right, and no matter how much you make fun of me(and probably us) my(our) position wont change on it.

Says the guy who used the word retard five times. There are many ATS members who have devopmental disablities that would find that word offensive. For you to use such a term in such a derogatory way only proves how credible your other arguments are. It is as bigoted as the N-word. I am disapointed that admin have chosen to allow you to use it when the n word is censored. Perhaps they do not want them posting on ATS.

I believe you only answered in such a antagonistic way to avoid the Captain Cook subject.

I wasnt referring to a group of people stop trying to spin this. Im pretty sure the word isnt censored(it wasnt filtered was it?) and i didnt use it in any way to offend a group of people so stop trying to get the admins to regulate the forums against views you dont hold.

Whats this captain cook thing about?

I'm not spinning anything and the way you used it was very offensive. The word insults anyone with a disablity.. it is a denogrative term and it dehumanises them when it is used to insult. It is AS BAD as the n-word. Do you think racial slurs are okay? No? Well neither is this. Just because it isn't censored doesn't mean they're fair game.

btw.

2) Behavior: You will not behave in an abusive, hateful, intolerant, bigoted and/or racist manner, and will not harass, threaten, nor attack anyone.

So do you think disabled members shouldn't be afforded the same protections as other minority groups?

Instead of making a well reasoned rebuttal you stooped to denograting an entire group of people by accusing me of saying you have a mental retardation. I did not such thing.. I merely questioned the quality of you and your father's education. You keep saying that the of Australian map is wrong yet you have no idea who even created it.

Whats this captain cook thing about?

So they did not teach you this in school either?

He is the guy who discovered Australia. He also mapped Australia and New Zealand. One would think you would know that given you are an expert on where Australia is.. :shk:

Maybe a member of ATS could make a "Democracy Map Thread"... and tell us where U.S is on that map is?

I think this literally comes down to nothing but personal perspective. You always figured one thing, having the truth skewed by maps that were perhaps not to scale and other sources that were likely inaccurate, which came together to form your convictions of Australia and New Zealand's true geographical location. But it's simply not the case.

I re-checked an atlas published in 1997, of which the global picture in the front most closely resembled C. I also asked my parents who said yes, Australia has always been this close to Papua New Guinea, that Papua has always been a "stone's throw" away from Darwin (Northern Territory). Additionally, thinking back to my primary schooling years, the maps depicted in the atlas before me do appear absolutely familiar.

I did the Photoshop manipulation on A, B, D and E and also removed the "tip" of North Australia because it was never there before in my memory and some other members memory.

I wanted to see if someone else had a memory of this "tip" being gone.

Sorry to be the one to tell you, but your memory is incorrect. If the tip of North Queensland was never there, I have no doubt that I would know about it. I have lived in North Queensland for my entire life.

No hard feelings. Sometimes people just need to be reminded.

In summary, nothing even resembling what the OP is insinuating has actually happened. The fact that the so-called changes pointed out in the beginning are but relatively insignificant comparisons (when looking at a picture of a map, that is) suggests that it is merely peoples' own perspective at play. They think that they have seen Australia in a slightly different location than it is now, when this is clearly not the case.
Perhaps if a number of people distinctly remember relatively substantial changes, then there might be something to discuss.

No I'm not one of them, and my opinion is that it's just mass hysteria.
I mean, memory distortions are so common (well, just read the thread to see how common it is). It's easy to create a whole 'hype' around this.

Deny ignorance people. Please, I'm asking gently.

The problem is that you people don't really know what's happening....

Under an NWO plan executed by the Illuminaughty, but orchestrated by the Annukai, had the US govt fly around the globe and expell thousands of chemtrails across the skies. This caused people to become "confused" and disorientated so that the Reptillians from deep inside the Hollow Earth, with the help of the Nephillims, could slowly push the continent of Australia out of place so as to avoid an impact from the astrological body known as Knobiru. This is a painfully long process and will not be finished until December 20th, 23:59:59 in the year 2012.

Case closed.
