Well it appears that Israel has backed down from construction in Jerusalem (or so the US is told to smooth ruffled feathers). They are touting peace in the ME but with all the inflammatory remarks flying around in that area I doubt this is a true goal. I personally would not be surprised to wake up one day in the near future to find an Israeli/US driven war.

The only thing I find funny about this, is the headline.

The Israeli's name is Barak. That sounds a lot like Obama's first name doesn't it?

Funny coincidence.

I don't see why he has to reassure them though, because there is no way in hell the USA will be taking sides against Israel.

I mean come on, you think Rahm Emanual would let that fly? Don't think so.
