2 Chicago state reps: Bring in the National Guard

www.chicagobreakingnews.com

Two state representatives called on Gov. Pat Quinn Sunday to deploy the Illinois National Guard to safeguard Chicago's streets.

Chicago Democrats John Fritchey and LaShawn Ford said they want Quinn, Mayor Richard Daley and Chicago Police Supt. Jody Weis to allow guardsmen to patrol streets and help quell violence. Weis said he did not support the idea because the military and police operate under different rules.

Chicago reps are calling for martial law! This is not a spontaneous occurrence. The NWO has been planning this for a long time.

Remember recently, it was revealed that thousands of troops were being deployed to the United States. If someone has the link to the original thread that mentions this article, I'd like to have it.

My theory is that this will happen, and the media will praise the results and the "miraculous" reduction in violent crime. The NWO will use this opportunity to spread martial law across America unless we stop them here. Let your representatives know that it is illegal and unacceptable to have soldiers taking the role of police.

Is crime that out of hand in Chicago? This is very troubling. What the hell is happening to our country? It seems like vested interests are attacking her from all sides. God Bless the USA! The future does not look bright.

They call out the national guard for Chicago?????

Why not for our borders with Mexico??

What's wrong with this picture?

They turn the NG against their own citizens but let a literal invading force invade our own country?

Time for some A$$ kicking in DC!

Two other threads on this. The first one is the original thread and should be used for discussion:
www.abovetopsecret.com...
www.abovetopsecret.com...

I did a search of the page for "chicago" and couldn't find anything. That's because the first article headline mentions "state reps" and the second mentions "Illinois Lawmakers."

I'll try to be more vigiliant about avoiding dupes in the future.

actually there is 4 threads on this subject.

Thread 4

My take on the subject? Pasted from one of the other threads:

I just received a phone call from an old roommate. Last year he moved out and went to Chicago. Prior to him leaving I warned him about staying away from Chicago and most major cities for that matter, and gave him my entire list for why I wouldn't move. So today he calls me up and his first words are," You know, I don't think there is anything worse than having to call you on the phone and tell you that you are right." He then begins to tell me about the National Guard may be deployed in Chicago.

I agree with other posters. I attribute this spike in crime due to the fact that your average law abiding citizen is not permitted to own firearms. The problem with gun laws are that the law abiding will follow the law. The criminals do not. They are breaking the law anyway, hence why they are "criminals", so why would they follow a gun law?

interesting to also note, the city of Chicago is filled with cameras everywhere. HERE is an AP article titled "Cameras make Chicago most closely watched city.

So with all these cameras available, how is it that you can not catch these criminals? In this case I should say "murders" since the OP's article is in reference to the number of homicides. Obviously these cameras are not doing anything to deter crime, gun laws are doing nothing to deter crime.

If you are one of those people who feel that the Federal Government is over stepping it authority, I urge you to get involved in Politics at the state level. Get involved in politics in your own communities. The fight starts with the States. They must stand up to the Federal Government. So get involved. Know who is running in your area, know what they stand for, look at their voting records, and please do everyone a favor and look at 3rd party candidates and stopped being duped into the 2 party ping pong system.

Mr Wendal, What part of the U.S. do you live in? I AM a law abiding U.S. citizen, and I own and carry several guns, hand guns, rifles and shot guns on U.S. soil all of the time, there is nothing illegal about it.

Sorry, here is the quote from your comment "I agree with other posters. I attribute this spike in crime due to the fact that your average law abiding citizen is not permitted to own firearms. "

It is legal in the U.S. to posses, and carry firearms with the correct permits, and anyone who hasn't been convicted of a violent felony can purchase, and after taking the proper class carry a concealed weapon, but it is also legal inthe U.S. to carry an unconcealed weapon in full view at ANY time, unless you are in a federal and/or some state owned buildings.

True! Unless you live in greater Chicago, where firearms are prohibited. Just like in D.C.

you are correct, however, as Daddyroo has pointed out, unless you live in great Chicago. Please, go check the laws in Chicago as they relate to firearms and you will be able to see why I posted and gave the opinion that I gave.

As someone who lives in Chicago, I say bring them in!

I am getting tired of hearing every single day about 4-10 shootings on the south and west sides of Chicago. This is everyday. Many times innocent people get hit and/or killed by gangsters that have NO concern for innocent life. Hell they even open fire when there are 20-30 police DOWN THE BLOCK at another crime scene shooting. Its worse here than in Baghdad or Falluja. Thankfully I do not live in those neighborhoods, but I do have to drive through them on the way to a friend's house and its a little unnerving wondering if there will be bullets riddling my car as I drive through.

We need to win back the streets from these thugs, murderers, and gangbangers. The mayor says its because of guns and we need to ban them some more. Well hell Mayor, ALL of the guns that are used on the streets are already banned and I cannot get any of them legally. We can see how well that ban is going.

This is not some "nwo" nonsense plan for "city and world domination" via deployment of troops on our streets, or martial law, this is real life that I see and hear about everyday. Deploying the National Guard (NOTICE: National Guard, NOT Federal Troops) would make me feel a HELL of a lot more safer than the police cars that seem to have no effect on the gangbangers.

Plus it wouldnt be too hard to spot the gangbangers. Just look for the knuckle draggers with pants around their ankles, shirts 5x larger than necessary, flashing up gang signs and "looking hard" on the street corners. Search and destroy them.

I'd love to see a drive-by vehical getting blown away by .50 cal fire or a LAW launcher but that is more wishful thinking on my part

The only problem is the guard wouldn't know how to enforce Illinois laws; make an arrest, write a report detailing elements of the crime, process evidence, testify in court.. do a cops job... that's not what private jones infantrymen extraordinaire knows how to do.

Police officers are "professionals"; professional traditionally means a person who has obtained a degree in a professional field.. a cop degree requires passing every test to get hired, the academy, field training AND a probationary period.. takes about 2+ years (in Ca) to earn a POST (police officer standards & training) certificate.. not anything Pvt jones is going to figure out in a few weeks of guard training.

Ever since Barack Obama stopped working as a community organizer and left Chicago for DC crime has gone out of control. I think we should all call on him to give up the presidency and return to Chicago. /sarcasm
