Southern Arizona is a war zone

Im glad someone if finally standing up for this. Our boarders are not secure enough. Sure a fence probably wouldn't help much but we need to focus less on overseas crap and more on whats happening here in the US. How can be even begin to worry about everyone else problems when there are so many here.

I despise illegal immigrants because they are spitting in the faces of all of the people that wait to get into the United States. I think this is the right thing to do. More boarder patrol, harsher penalties, if you get caught coming over illegally then you shouldn't be allowed in the country again. To many people want in, but you have to do it right.

Most border drug crime problems stop tomorrow by ending prohibition... the mere suggestion of supporting the fed govt with violence or troops is disturbing... haven't the feds demonstrated their complete incompetence by thus far failing miserably at every attempt at prohibition? yet somehow giving the feds more power and authority is the answer?

Why not strip the feds of their powers, and WOD funds wasted on a loss, and allow us adults the freedom decide what drugs we can use? like in venezuela or amsterdam?

The war on drugs has been lost, it's time to surrender.. take impure overly potent heroin & crack off the streets where kids can but them and let coors & big pharma sell controlled lower dosages of opiate / stimulant / TCH 'beer' at 7-11 to adults for $10 a 6 pack.

An opiate addict can be pacified, and tapered off, for about $50 bucks a month (10mg tabs 4x daily).. there are common sense simple solutions out there but the feds wont even think of them, without the war on drugs they will lose billions in funds, a great excuse to expand the empire with world wide military bases.. it's all a scam.

that states that when illegals are apprehended in Arizona, they will be "handed over" to immigration officials. In other words, the law is toothless. Federal immigration officials thwarting US immigration laws is how we got into this mess in the first place.

I remember, how it was pictured in that film "Apocalypto". The story begins when a group of hunters meets another group of miserably looking people (refugees) migrating through their territory. Then, the real cause of their misery arrives and destroys the idyll...

The "cause" which does have the necessary funding (coming from drug dealing) and the authority (consequently, coming from funding)...

We have a "translation" here, from addiction to work to addiction to drugs - both are means of acquiring profit, only they tend to replace each other and can hardly coexist.

The "victims", however, are the same - workers or junkies = refugees. They can be ab-"used" for other things, too. (Try bar-dancing, lap-dancing, screaming and bleeding).

Yes - Repeal the anti-drug prohibition laws to make recreational drugs legal - under the same licensing / taxing / controls that are used for liquor. The repeal of the alcohol prohibition put a big dent in organized crime; legalizing MJ would have the same effect on the Mexican smugglers.

According to a candidate for U.S. Senate, Arizona's law IS constitutional

Article 1 section 10 of U.S. constitution:

allows for States to defend themselves if invaded;

No State shall, without the Consent of Congress, lay any duty of Tonnage, keep Troops, or Ships of War in time of Peace, enter into any Agreement or Compact with another State, or with a foreign Power, or engage in War, unless actually invaded, or in such imminent Danger as will not admit of delay.
