2012, Doomsday, the prophet Mohammed and Christ, and you

In case you haven't noticed something interesting is going on. Global warming? Climate change?

The current round of earth events can't be explained by solar activity. I would say that this can't be explained by some sort of religious prophecy. But then what?

OK for free. No waiting. The earth's magnetic field is diminishing rapidly. No known cause. No cure, no hope?

Mohammed, Christ, what does this have to do with them? There is no rational religious view that explains what is happening. Common religious theory provides for and end of world scenario. None fits.

All that is happening is that as technology rises and spreads we notice more and more of the events that previously went unrecorded. The media plays a massive part too. Here in Oz we never got reports of what went on in prisons, but since Carl Williams died every agency is reporting even the most mundane prison news as that is the hype. The earthquake in Texas for instance hasn't had any truck here, but three months ago after Haiti it would have been front page.
