Is there anyway to see how many members are at each Content Contributor level?

Example:

100 are Gold

1000 Silver

10000 Bronze

8000 Bronze by Post

or is this TOP SECRET info?

I think it would be a good visual to have up on the Board page along with all the other info. Nice to see people putting effort in etc.

I agree it would be interesting. Moot, but interesting.

Course, I have a unique point of view on this. I don't get flags, so anything I write must be taken on its on merit...no flag rewards or content contribution levels.

Having experienced this, I think ATS would work just fine in a flagless environment.

And to answer the question that everyone will be asking... noone knows why. It's been looked at before and never figured out.

Welcome to the club buddy...The staff couldn't seem to figure out why I don't get them either-I have mentioned it a few times but no one seems to able to fix it...

Edit:I just noticed that we both joined ATS in the last half of 2005-maybe other members who joined at that time don't see their flags either?

maybe the new site overhaul later this year could fix it for us?



To the OP-I guess you could count up everyone flags from their profile page individually,and post the results.

Of course that would omitt mine and rogersteigers flags,coz we are so cool ours don't show up..

I just checked and he is at 321 so far.

@ THE OP: Am i right in saying you want a feature that you can check so for example if you click on gold contributer you get a list of all the members who have Gold and the same for silver and bronze and so on.

If so then i agree, that would actually be pretty cool.

Maybe something to ask S.O about for the new ATS 2010

Well, yes, but if they didn't want to publish it by name and just by the amounts in each area-that would be fine.

Some people may not want their name so easily available or identifable.

But yes, something the gerneral vistor can see/access.

Isn't this where your flag contribution bar is for ?

When the first word ( flag ) is full. You have at least 300 flags.

Or am I missing the big picture here ? Could be. It happens. ( a lot )

hmm... you may be right. perhaps there was a bug in the system for a time there. You are the first person I have seen to have the same issue. We are special.. and not little school bus special either..

I have a pretty good idea what the problem is just based on my own forensic analysis, but I don't have access to the ATS database to fix it.

I checked your thread posts and see plenty flags given to both of you. However when I checked your profiles. I see zip for both.

There is a problem related to old members who weren't active for a while, suddenly becoming active again, and getting flags.

The new ATS 2010 code provides a fix (for staff to use) to this issue, and I've tried it on your accounts and it appears to work.

Tough crowd around here sometimes.

But, we did get a problem solved for two (maybe more) ATS members so it's not a total loss. Better than no one ever responding and seeing the thread drift off into never never land..... Now that is sad.
