What exactly is it you'd like to know?

Information on the spike?

Information on the increase of amplification from April 18?

Information on what each graph represents?

It's a notable item of interest to note the increase in amplitude, beginning April 18, which is something that is telling me that something HUGE is about to happen!

It's apparent that Katla is about to blow... The intensity will be left to be seen.

These are readings from 5 different locations...with varying amplitudes...

The ~god reading~ seems to be closest...

The ~esk reading~ seems to be diverging in frequency...(blue line) IE: see distance/freq deviations...

The amplitude is increasing across all bandwidths...as are harmonics...

I say a increased flow is indicated at this point...

Duration/Intensity...unknown...

I have to disagree with you as to what will blow. Yes the tremor intensity has increased and stayed higher for over 24hrs now and I agree that this means something is brewing possibly.

If this was to be Katla going then I would expect to see deeper quakes and plenty of them in the area of Katla, but there is nothing. In fact quake activity is so low that with the increased tremors, although a concern as it means magma is moving, the magma is moving in the current eruption so that may be all this is.

This chart shows the quakes have dropped off in number and depth.

Good call 'puterman !

I see nothing to indicate multiple eruptions as ~god~ ...is centered in these graphs at this point in time...

I do see 2 EQ's off shore not near the epicenter...

Increased flow is indicated at this point in time...

(maybe Shirakawa might chime in soon?)

(good to see yer still on the situations!)

Thanks.

Just wanted to know what I was looking at.
I am just a bloke with a PC who has family stranded and other family members waiting to go. Some have called it off incase it gets worse.

If this big one blows. we could be in a right mess.

Thanks for the info ATS'rs.
Yet again, simple plain answers.

Experts consider second Icelandic eruption possible

Seems the experts feel that Katla may erupt as well. Lets hope it doesn't go!
