Latest ALTA report has several mentions of volcanic activity, particularly northern hemisphere island-base activity, and activity which causes people to relocate to other locales:

Web bot has been sputtering nonsense for years now. Web bot says very vague random things and with enough time people find something of meaning in it.

I have seen one too many threads praising the web bot and have yet to see any evidence.

When was this report put out?

I don't subscribe to the alta reports, but have listened to George and Cliffs on various radio interviews. I like their work. They'll be the first to tell you that the interpretations they put out are wrong alot of the time but over the last few years I've have seen alot of their data flesh out in actual media events.

Well with the recent eruptions of the Iceland volcano (please don't ask me how to say or spell it) it doesn't surprise me that Web Bot picked up on it. That is what it does, scans the web and the Iceland volcano has been a major headline this week with all kinds of speculation about Katla being the next to erupt.

I had no clue they changed there name tho.....what does Alta mean?

The circles I hang around also mention much upheaval due to volcanic activity in the coming months and years.

Isn't this fun?

It's the Jean Dixon Effect.

Throw enough spaghetti against the wall and eventually something will stick .

Cliff High has a terrible track record of ridiculous and failed predictions, especially in the last few years. I don't see how anyone can take this material seriously.

Webbot (ALTA) is NOT a precise prediction machine. If you knew how it worked then you would know this.

If anything at all, it can be considered a trend machine. It tells us what the hot topics are around the world, what the people are collectively talking about, and collect multitudes of information that COULD play into the future at some point. It isn't designed to be a prophecy machine.

As always, it should be taken with a grain of salt but it should be in no way discredit it. If the report is ever wrong, it is because people are wrong. If it is right, it is because the collective people were right.

I never believed webbot.

Its like the one million monkeys on one million typewriters that produce the Bible eventually

hahah yeah, to build on gwydion's post;

it's depressing that people dismiss the concept outright because that automatically assume it purports to "see the future" based on the nature of the information it provides.

it does not. and to deny the validity of a potential source of information based on faulty assumptions gets us nowhere. This is the type of # people need to 'wake up' from

This was from the latest ALTA report from March, 2010.

This, on the other hand, is line two.

Emsed,

i was pleased to see yourplacement on my behalf.

Linguistic studies do, in fact, recognize past migrations and can benefit or suffer at the hands of future diasporas. The key is not so much the movement, but the intent.

So ALTA is standing in for the webbot report?

do webbot subscribers get a free ALTA in Lieu of webbot?

i know George Ure on his web site, said something to the effect that webbot algorithms dealing with the spider collected linguistics is just not an accurate enought predictor tool or analyse sufficiently good enough...

Volcanoes causing people to migrate...
that sounds reasonable, because where volcanoes are generally--- there
are peoples living from hand-to-mouth rather than affluent communities...

nothing said says that they (webbot) are really scientific in their expectations that is sold to the public as future-scapes

Didn't this prediction come true with that volcano that just erupted?

What's the difference between Webbot and the 8 Ball?
Srsly.

So Mr Webbot predicts that at some point a volcano will happen...

About 50-60 volcanoes erupt every year. 20-30 are effusive (lava flows), 20-30 are explosive. 360 volcanoes erupted in the 20th century.

Theres also been 14 Earthquakes of Magnitude 8 or above in the last ten years

Nice predictions there Mr Bot
