"Civil" War

alright- im sure this has been mention a million times on ATS but he is a new thread to rehash everything

Many of us here realize that something is wrong with our government. maybe it's because the care so much that they don't tell us what's wrong, but somehow i doubt it. it's so complicated and has so many layers that I believe it is time for real change and i know there are plenty here who feel the same.

So- my new favorite oxymoron- civil war. who ever heard of a war being civil? but that's what it's got to be. non-violence, determined patience, and most importantly-"class". you know what that is- the really cool guy who, instead of laughing at the misfortunes of others, actually helps them. you know- the guy with self-control, confidence, and is at peace with himself (or herself). spiritual warriors (notice "spiritual" comes first)

so anyhow- how does it happen?
what can we actually do to bring down the forces of evil?
i have some ideas but i'm more interested in hearing what ATSers have to say. im sure it will be interesting..........

and- what if- we actually did something as a result of all this foment?

2nd line

who was the time traveler that predicted civil war in 2005. looking back at history its not always a clear picture of what happend at the time it happened. As time goes on more facts come to light. when katrina hit new orleans there were at the time reports of people shooting at blackhawks. I have read later of reports(unconfermed) of gunfights in the city between cops/military vs who knows. it could be speculation that any shooting or shootouts were started because some civilians saw the incedent on the bridge where unarmed people where guned down by NOPD.

I think what im saying is that a civil war may be going on as we speek.

Well IandEye you have got to understand that for the last few decades since Lincoln there have always been people who felt there was something wrong with the government, that something needs to change. It is nothing new I assure you, and with the flip of parties and ideology the feeling of government corruption changes over from one side to another. It has been a fact in politics here. That does not mean you should not question the government, but this has been the pattern over the years.

In my view I believe the only 'civil' war people can have to change this nation is if they vote again, and this time out of party lines. That is the 'civil' war people can wage against Washington if they don't like whats going on. Vote outside party lines, vote third party. In November there will be plenty of opportunities for this.
