If 78% of American's Polled - Dont trust the Government...?

Well if 78% dont trust the government where is the government getting the support to well enslave us (we were slaves before, we just didnt pay much attention) but if 78% says something - this is a democracy and thats more
that 51% so, what up...? even under a republican form of Government you
would still have to say whats up>? and even under a communist form of government you would have to conclude that a good percentage are towing
the party line... after all the government now employes over 30% of the population so 78% even says the government is not happy with the government.
now what...?

well if you read the article they are scared they are going to lose the majority next electon. why...? havent yall seen Hacking Democracy yet..?
it goes through in detail how easy it is to hijack an election. So, in a way this is like 100% if everyone knew what was really going on.

Nearly 80 percent of Americans say they can't and they have little faith that the massive federal bureaucracy can solve the nation's ills, according to a survey from the Pew Research Center that shows public confidence in the federal government at one of the lowest points in a half-century.

The poll released Sunday illustrates the ominous situation facing President Barack Obama and the Democratic Party as they struggle to maintain their comfortable congressional majorities in this fall's elections. Midterm prospects are typically tough for the party in power. Add a toxic environment like this and lots of incumbent Democrats could be out of work.

On can only dream of such a prize. Except, I don't care who they are, as long at the incumbents have a go at the unemployment lines.

and incumbant republicans too damnit. if the republicans get a congressional majority in the midterm election i will have lost all hope in america. if america is that stupid to think the republicans have changed at all in 2 years, theyre just plain stupid. its like a numbskull lookin at one side of the quarter , gets bored with it, "i wonder whats on the otherside?", flips it over, stares at that for 4 minutes and forgets whats on the otherside so she flips it over, repeat... repeat repeat... if americans put republicans in power in 2010 and 2012 (unless its ron paul) then americasn can offically say that america is the dumbest group pf humans on earth. we on ATS already know this.. but it will be obvious to all in november. REPUBLICANS ARE NOT THE FIX IT ALL ANSWER!!!!! BOTH PARTIES SUCK!!!! VOTE INDEPENDENT, VOTE 3RD PARTY! OR DONT VOTE AT ALL IN PROTEST!!! people have to realize for any change at all to occur.. real change in the system, they are going to have to do more than petitions, and protests and marches...

I feel sorry for americans (the nice ones)
Every election they choose the lesser of two evils, There is no real democracy there when there are organizations and currupt goverments taking money of the people that own them,
No one wants to revolt so your stuck with CIA corruption, (even though CIA works outsidethe government, Independently but has more jurastiction and powers than FBI/ Police.
They are meant to be an intelligence agency but all they seem to do is ripoff and defraud the people. Its Sickening, and everyone is too interested in celebs to care

I like to see what a poll of the rest of the world would say. Probably would be higher.

the world isn't magically fixed, the people become angry at the gub-ment, vote opposite, got a left leaning congress...

Thing is...people mistrust the government...but typically they like their rep. They see their one guy as the honest whatever amid a whole host of vampires and werewolves...so dont expect a major change overall...

The people are completely sold on the two party system...they just are...your not really going to break that trend. It is what we are born into, and have lived with..its all we know. Choosing a 3rd party just doesn't even factor into mainstream thinking..like betting on the ref in a boxing match.

Actually, I take that back

The Tea Party movement is a unique movement as it could create a 3rd party...IF...they drop the GOP social conservatism elements from their party and move directly center with the only real stand being of fiscal conservatism...alas, I think the corruption is too complete and the GOP successfully yanked them to the right by infiltration.

So, I expect that move was for naught...but it was about as close as having a serious 3rd party as we have come in quite awhile.

The irony is of course that what made them big (Fox News) was also what yanked them to the right in the end...I guess thats the price that needs to be paid when you seek out unnatural growth verses grassroots.

Doesn't surprise me, however even at a full 100% not trusting the government nothing will change. They don't require our trust or our support to continue on their path of screweups, just our continued submission; and we are pro at doing absolutely nothing. Best to just change the channel and keep on blocking reality it, its the only way to live these days if you want to keep your sanity about you.
