And this differs from the views of a certain Iranian cleric how?

And it also differs from those nuts at the Westboro Baptist "Church" how?

I like yours better. Had I gone in that direction, I wouldn't have been accused of being an AIPAC shill.

if God is punishing us in any manner...it's by giving us Rush Limbaugh.

That guy is THE verbal whore of this century.

He'll take that as a compliment.

Competent people recognize it for what it is - the truth....and far, far, far from a compliment.

Hey guys, Rush is doing what he does so well..... weither you like him or not...agree with him or not... he is being sarcastic as hell. I hope you don't take him literally, he's just yanking chains here.

Nail meet head!!!

If you don't understand "Illustrating absurdity by being absurd" you will never understand Rush Limbaugh.

Amazing how the uninformed run with stuff like this.

Rush Limbaugh operates on a much higher intelligence level than most people. His listeners get it, others......not so much.

I make a point in my last post, then BOOM someone immeditately reinforces my point.

Funny how that happens!

When an individuals belief in silly superstitions prevails over reality, there is absolutely no limit to the harm they themselves and their followers can become to society. The world would no doubt be a better place if such superstitious nonsense never existed.

Love the gentle admonishments from those who "get it". It's easy to see the absurdity in his act.
I find it just as funny that millions defend a porcine hillbilly heroin addict. Should anyone point out his absurd behavior off stage, they must not get the joke.
Where's that sense of humour when it's time to laugh at Rush?

to bad you posted this seconds before me

your surely right that i'm maybe not responding on the level of his message. I try to follow US politics as good as i can. but still, i am Dutch. If a highly placed persons like him is saying stuff in the way he does, one can expect most of the "lesser" informed people take his words literaly. Therefore if i interpetate his word's wrongy, can i be blamed for that?

kind regards,

I am not a Rush fan, however I think it is rather cute that when he exaggerates something it is taken as fact. Im sure no one has ever blown something out of proportion to make a task, drive or walk more than it is.

Dude, I'm not walking way over there it like a million miles.

It kinda sounds alot like this.

Extramarital sex fuels earthquakes, warns Iran cleric.

Nice job Rush Limpballs you're now in line with the lunatics at the top of Iran's Islamic Theocracy.

Yes, god will punish air travel over Europe for America passing a healthcare bill that unlike what your tiny brain can comprehend, actually gives the corporations more control. Even if it was takeover of healthcare are you so mentally retarded as to believe that god is more worried about the passage of healthcare than the torture of the Palestinians, or the war in the Congo, or Darfur? Get your head out of your ass!

I think all Rush was saying was that "Obama said the earth hadn't opened up" and then suddenly,"the earth did open up"!

I think it was an interesting observation, myself.

You know what really stinks about this?

People actually listen to this blow-hard (Limbaugh) character. When are people going to wise up that there really are other radio stations to listen to that he is not on. If he ever had anything worth saying, I must have missed it, because I've never heard it.

( emphasis added )

Which means....you apparently listen to his show.

You just stepped in it, my friend.

...except that it's not the dittoheads that are getting all worked up over what he said, is it?

Rush is a very bright guy. And, as he states, he gets inside liberals' heads rent-free! I love that saying!

He even gets inside Obama's head, to the point where Obama whines about him and Hannity.

He can credit his success to liberals and their knee-jerk reactions to what he says.

I understand what you are saying...I hear ya. BUT, the fact that he is even the topic of this discussion means he is successful....

Some things I agree with him on, some I don't. However, he is a very clever and shrewd entertainer and business person. As for his biting wit and sarcasm, I feel he has few equals.

Rush can grasp the most insignificant quote and turn it into a riot. For instance, have you heard his spoof of "Puff, the Magic Dragon" as "Barak, the Magic Negro"... and for those uninformed, the term came from an African American columnist in LA and mixed with Al Sharpton's concern that Barak wasn't "authentically" black enough.

Yes, I hear you too, but does truth and integrity fit anywhere into your criteria?

As far as the sense of humour in the above examples, well, you obviously thought it was clever enough to repeat here. I don't. I don't care who wrote it. It's tacky as hell.

What could be more "liberal" than a thrice divorced, too frail for the draft, drug addicted college dropout getting help from the ACLU to avoid drug charges?

Typical. You just admitted you don't care about context.

You give no blame to the creator of the "Barack the Magic Negro", instead you blame Rush Limbaugh for having the nerve to call him out.

This whole volcano situation is the same thing. The context is there, you and many others just don't care about it.

Everyone knows that God is not sending a volcanic cloud over Europe because of our healthcare.
The answer is that God is sending a cloud over Europe to punish them for their treatment of God's land Israel and the dividing of Jerusalem.
Don't you people read and know your Bible?
Oh that's right... you don't.
And if you see more stuff like this taking place and the tensions rising on nearly a daily basis, you are not going to find answers within yourselves.
Seek the Lord while He maybe found.
Someday EVERY knee will bow and EVERY tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. You may do it willingly or unwillingly either way it will happen.

Admittedly, most who don't listen to the show only get a second hand view of the context. We do miss whatever insights the man has to offer. He very well could have been calling someone out. Much like he did during his mockery of Michael J. Fox. The point of context is a valid one. I personally can't remove his espousal of conservative values from the context of his less than conservative past.
