ICELAND (The Borowitz Report) - A gigantic ash cloud from an Icelandic volcano that blanketed Northern Europe on Thursday and paralyzed air travel across the continent has turned out to be part of the finale of the television series Lost, network officials confirmed today.

Really though anyone else find this funny or is it just me? And blowing glaciers up for a tv show? Seems kinda ridiculous when they could have just used CGI smoke instead? Environmentalists must be going banana's over this incident, even if it is just a big "whoops"

"The producers of Lost set off a small explosive charge underneath the Eyjafjallajokull glacier in Iceland, hoping to create a cloud of black smoke," said ABC spokesperson Carol Foyler. "That was pretty much the only way they could think of to end the series."

That site is talking BS, The eruption has been going on for months. Guess the lava coming out the volcano in the previous eruption was CGI, I hope the OP was being sarcastic not to spot this blatant hoax.

Couldn't they just CGI some ash clouds in, as opposed to creating such a fuss?

I guess we all know that the end of Lost will involve a volcano/explosion of some sort (I don't actually watch the show so I have no idea what the context would be lol).

I'm going to NUKE Yellowstone for my version of 2012 film, well nukes are cheaper than CGI people wanna see real life disasters these days anyway, otherwise it's Fake and Gay.....

If I was in Iceland I would have an Hot Air Balloon, That way I could fly straight to the UK and take a great big dump on our country. Probably the only deposit were going to see around here

They are both in agreement that it was Bushes fault.

I can't tell whether it's a joke or not, but the reason I would believe it is because it was probably already active and unstable anyway.

Same thing if you have two tectonic plates that are about to erupt into an earthquake, and you detonate a bomb near them to speed things along. It's not like setting off explosives is going to make things more stable.

man' every episode someones blowin themselves up with dynamite or setting of hydrogen bombs, but if this is the final season why not blow up a mountain?
