LOFAR, a new tool in SETI research

Ive been following SETI ever since I heard about it..I dont have much hopes in us finding alien life in my lifetime..but I think we owe it to the human race to keep searching for it. Here is a link to an article from Sciencedaily.com that writes about a new radio astronomy array called LOFAR (Low Frequency Array) that will not only search the skies for some of the vey first emissions from the new universe at about 500,000 years old but it will also be used to search nearby stars for possible artificial radio transimssions in helping SETI's research continue on new fronts... a decent article I feel.
