I'm still wondering why she's still steaming our little Lady Eyja.

Going to guess.
First
I think there is still a "small" amount of magma regularly rising from beneath the chamber, the waving red line on the graphs could indicate it. This magma is filling up the chamber again and rising up.

We saw some time ago a lake in the crater. This lake was probably formed ba the "roof" of the chamber collapsing and all the melted and still melting ice trapped in the crater.

The steam could be from two sources.
One from water sippling down some fissures and reaching the magma generating some kind of geyser effect. This is the main steam vent in the middle of the hvol cam.
Second (what makes me think is going on leftish on the poro cam) is rising magma melting the ice cap bit by bit.

A couple of aerial pictures would actually be nice to have to have a better idea what's going on.

As I said before this is only a guess so don't take any of this for granted.

Good thoughts Nidwin!

I too have wondered why we haven't seen any new images of the crater.

I have been searching tonight for something new.

I found this really awesome video I bet you and the rest of the gang hasn't seen. I know I haven't ever seen any of these images and they are really something!

Did anyone see the little tornado go through the valley floor at 09.55 Iceland time today? Very cool...

Also, looks like there has been some major melting on the glacier itself, a lot more craggy and seems deeper crevices.

Also more water down below.

Absolutely!! I was looking at that and coveting it.

I would imagine it could be a tad windswept however!

anywayz, enjoy this video.

for someone, like me, who dreams of being a photographer, this video takes the cake. I suggest you view it full screen. I want a Hasselblad!

Not related at all.
Eyja's steaming for more than 3 weeks now so not related to that CME theory at all.

I think she is still filling up, to much steam! I think the magma chamber is building up. It's only waiting till she blowing up again! It's just a gues. And about CME!!! It's related to earthquakes, so maybe a earthquake could trigger a new outbreak???
