Only Wolf mixes

If there were two of them, would it be a paradox?

yea the artical says it ways in north carolina and that it could also be a gray fox that lost all of its hair, and now growing it back.

yea it looks like a deer it has four legs and it is brown.

i think that is a grey fox that is regrowing its hair.
or it is a hybrid between a coyote and dog similiar to a grey hound
i asked another dude from the sticks about fox dog hybrids and he said that they interbreed, but the lack of articles on the net and the chromosome difference i am doubting the dox deal.

can't confirm much, but by looking at the shadowing it looks fake.

Picture.

This is obviously photoshopped , look at the shadow. It is straight back on the house, fine. Now look at the shadow on the ground. The only way this shadow could be cast is if the house and ground were all one flat wall.

penginkun,

Paradox

Bad puns are good!

I've now shown the pic to quite a few people. None were animal "experts".
A couple of them mentioned "deerlike". One guessed an odd type of wolf, or wild dog.
Nobody said ah, I know what that is.

nutzobalzo,

I think you are right about the "shadow" problem.
I'm finally at a computer with photoshop on it.

Here's what I see:

In photoshop, open the image, increase the brightness by about 75 percent. Then the contrast up by 55 percent. This brings out the shadow(s).
Now, invert the image (crtl+I). You will see 2 seperate shadows, they don't
line up, the tail does not line up with the upper portion of the animal, in the shadows.

ANyone else like to try this?

It's no big deal, it's just a hillbilly's dog.

I've seen freakier things on a bar-b-que.

Heck I've seen freakier things bar-b-queing!

ok first of all the shadow is because of a spotlight i live in virginia and have seen these in the living meuseum and one in the wild near the N.C border they are an endangered species known as the red wolf.

Beautiful animal. Hopefully more comes in about it. Can't say I've ever seen anything like it.

I would defineltly say it was a relative of mine the Jackal if it wasn't for the tail.

Ok, this is a homemade animal.
I had to learn a few things about photoshop first, but
I think it's a decent attempt at making a deerdog.
It looks a little like the original animal that started the thread.

It's just a Jackal's head on a white tailed deer's body.
I made the tail, by copying a tail shaped cutout from the deer body,
then shading it a little.

I just wanted to see if it was possible to make such a creature out of the
parts that a lot of us suspect the original might be made from.

Please don't tear apart my technique, I'm a p'shop beginner..

Without further ado.
It's DEERDOG!

Your attempt actually looks more believable than the first photo. Good work.
