Freemasons keen to open office in EU capital

A French freemason has said that part of the movement is keen to open a bureau in Brussels to lobby against the rising influence of religious organisations in the EU institutions.

"The masonic orders should practice politics in the positive sense of the term: So that despite their own partisan divisions, they speak out on the side of secularism and voice their disagreement with this or that governmental or European decision," Jean-Michel Quillardet, the former Grand Master of the Grand Orient de France, told Belgian daily Le Soir in an interview out on Wednesday (17 February).

Hi im new to ats ive been on it for sometime but never signed up. I just taught the time had come to get in on the action . For all the people who are interested in freemasons i taught this would be interesting. It wouldnt suprise me if they did all join together there all linked together anyway wouldnt make abit of difference. Like to know what you all thing ?

well first of all, let me state not ALL divisions
of Masonry are joined together.

There are many classifications.

As far this division going into politics
is a new one on me. I was a Master Mason
for 20 yrs and a Past Master and the lodges
that I have been around keep their nose
out of politics other than just sitting around
the table discussing it. No theories of bringing
the world to an end or nothing like that. Just stuff
like u would hear at a barber shop. So this must
be a rogue chapter starting up. Not all Masons
are equal in their ideologies.

Any group of influential people is suspect.

The church is suspect.

The masons are suspect.

Leave [people alone and let them live without powerful groups dictating their lives.

Any group of power is suspect.

Let people live without masons or churches.

Any group of powerful men is suspect - that includes churches and masons.

Well said catwhoknows When will these morons stop interfering in our lives and stop telling us what we can & can't do. It'll be a cold day in hell before I ever take advice from a Mason.
