This is embarrassingly bad wedding photography to say the least.

The worshipful master is basically the dude that runs the lodge. He runs the rituals...etc...etc. We do not actually worship the worshipful master, We use the word worshipful in its original meaning which means "to respect". There is a new worshipful master each year, voted on by the brothers of the lodge.

I am the senior deacon this year. My station has the symbol of the sun inside the square and compass. It represents my assistance to the worshipful master. If you know how the ritual goes, then I can see how you might get sun worship out of it being an outsider. But the key is knowing why the ritual is there. then it all makes sense.
And BTW, amen means "I believe".
Hello,
I am unlearned in masonry. Would you mind answering a couple-few questions?
The first: "My station has the symbol of the sun inside the square and compass. It represents my assistance to the worshipful master."
Who is the "worshipful master?" Is this his/her title?
Second: The sun inside the square and compass: Are you the sun, or the square and compass?
Third: "But the key is knowing why the ritual is there. Then it all makes sense." Please enlighten me?
And, I always figured that "Amen" meant; "so be it."
Thanks in advance.
As far as the OP's photo goes, I just thought the gentleman looked Irish.
Lot's of interesting takes. I'm going back to lurk-mode.

There are many cool, laid back and helpful masons on this board that are happy to answer questions.
Sounds like you are refering to Networkdude, minus, of course, the cool and laid back part.
And the happy part.
It probably has something to do with him not getting beer after lodge so try not to hold it against him.

In other words, the three pillars of light and the fourth one that goes through the woman were ADDED in post-production! This means that they were very intentional.

If this is indeed a joke, what is the punch - line?
All jokes need a punch line.
And Aprils Fools jokes are 99.999% of the time IMMEDIATELY followed by a "APRIL FOOLS" revelation.
This subject has no obvious punch line, nor have I seen the traditional "April Fools" revelations.
A net-friend of mine emailed me this picture and told me that he recieved it from a man in Montana

the only thing weird about this is a few symbols that show up in the code that is a little masonish, but i think thats a complete coincidence.

Nice Tek.
My daughter has several books called "I Spy".....pictures of random objects that you are tasked with finding. That's what this story the OP posted reminds me of.
Also, to the OP.....a little less drama would make this a more believable "OMG" story. IMO of course
