Hunter Lu Chin explained: "It looks a bit like a bear but it doesn't have any fur and it has a tail like a kangaroo."

Local animal experts now plan to shipped the mystery beast to scientists in Beijing who will perform DNA tests on the beast.

First I thought It looks like a Dog with a hair problem, but looking at the size of its tale??

also they noted it sounded like a cat? so it can't be a dog and it looks nothing like a cat.

I'm not too informed on the type of animals that inhabit that part of Asia , maybe somebody here will immediately recognize it?

I'm guessing a dog or other of the canidae family with Mange.
Second line.

The hair problem could be mange or something similar, and I would be willing to be that thats just what it is.

This is some sort of Raccoon or something.

YETI to me, means "Large Ape-Like Humanoid".

So I think them calling it a Yeti is BS and shameful.

Yeah its not exactly yeti looking :-) crazey Chinese!

but you would think if it were a native mammal to that part of the area the Chinese wouldn't need to DNA it to identify it.

Agreed one million percent, how they can call this a Yeti is beyond me. Reminds me of when they kept finding mangy dogs and coyotes and claiming they were chupacabras...

poor thing...why couldnt they put it back where they found it and put a tracker on it and follow it to learn everything about it...Gah!! Humans.....

Psh that's no yeti.. the thing standing in my kitchen qualifies as a yeti more than that thing. She doesn't make noises like a cat either!

I'd have to agree it looks one of the animals posted in the video above just hairless. From the picture there it looks like it has some hair left in small patches... like mange or some other hair disease.

Poor little thing..

I'm surprised they're sending it somewhere to be DNA Tested.

I would have thought the First thing they did with it, would be to put it on a plate served with rice??

I'm with you guys.
If this were a county fair, I'd be demanding my quarter back after a peep at that "Yeti".

How exactly is that a "Yeti"?

Poor little mangy critter. It looks so pitiful and scared.

As others have said, this is just a normal critter with a bad case of the mange. All it needs is a vet who'll do some mange treatment out of the goodness of his / her heart.

That looks like a big rodent to me. The tail is way long and thick.

But also it could be a form of dog that is albino and hairless, but the tail looks really rodent like.
