the tea partiers were originally a grass routes effort consisting mainly of disenchanted americans (from both parties) that, once their movement gained enough steam, the ptb decided that it had enough potential to be a threat worth reacting to, so they reacted? fox news and the like jumped on the bandwagon, leaders were brought up to fill the void and give the movement the direction it needed, and thus, well, destroy from the inside, the movement was tarnished???
I believe originally, the tea partiers were a mishmash of political ideologies who one main commonality was that they were dismayed with both parties.
